After a two-year absence, Love Island Australia is finally back — and it’s looser than ever.

The dating reality show — which drops a bunch of sexy singles in a tropical villa together — premiered last night, introducing 10 islanders who quickly coupled up. The couples are as follows: Courtney and Aaron; Jess and Jordan; Tina and Ronni; Ari and Ryan; and Rachael and Taku.

There are quite a few islanders who are already standing out. Firstly there’s Aaron, who has hair so badly bleached he would make Draco Malfoy cringe. Tina and Taku are rays of bloody sunshine, and must be protected at all costs. Courtney hasn’t quite grasped the difference between geography and geometry, but she’ll get there! And Ari really likes to say the word “daddy” and you know what? I’m OK with that.

Now on to the villa’s fuckbois: Ryan bragged in his introduction package that he’s slept with 500 people, before choosing Ari instead of Jess because she’s “something different” to the blondes he typically dates. Umm. Yikes. Then there’s Jordan, a man who got angry at his partner Jess for standing forward when Ryan arrived — despite knowing Jess for about 40-seconds at that point — then ended up kissing Rachael after spending the night cuddling and kissing Jess. In the bin!

If this show teaches us nothing else, it’s that the only thing men collectively have is the audacity. The villa is set to be shaken up even more, as a bombshell, Lexy, arrived at the end of last night’s episode, and will steal one of the men in the next 24-hours. I hope she’s steals them all, leaving the girls to enjoy the villa without having to dodge all those red flags the women said they usually run towards. Just sipping cocktails, having girlie chats, learning about geometry — it would be fun time!
