Love Island UK producers chose violence last week when they decided to play the islanders clips of them either cheating on their partners, or speaking badly about them.

During a movie-themed games night, almost everyone was exposed as videos were played on the big screen, including footage of the fellas cheating in Casa Amor. But the worst parts were saved for Faye, Teddy and Jake, as Faye was shown flirting with Sam, while Teddy was seen telling Clarisse he found her sexually attractive.

In the moment we’ve all been waiting for, Jake got hit with a double whammy: first a clip showing him say that he didn’t find his girlfriend Liberty overly attractive, then footage of him encouraging the other boys to cheat in Casa Amor.

Love Island fans expected the women to kick off with Jake, but all of that drama was eclipsed by Faye exploding over Teddy’s clip. She continuously screamed over Teddy, not letting him respond or defend himself and it was ugly to watch.

Her reaction has been described as “Hurrican Faye” as it was wildly unhinged, especially considering that her video was just as bad as Teddy’s. Let’s compare videos, shall we?! In Teddy’s clip, it showed Clarisse clearly kissing Teddy based on a dare — this is something that Faye knew about and, if anything, this footage just showed that Clarisse instigated it all. Then there was a conversation where Teddy said he was sexually attracted to Clarisse. Umm…that was it!

In contrast, Faye joked with the other ladies about Teddy’s personality, saying that she didn’t find him funny. Then she flirted with Sam, after spending the night in the same bed and spooning with him. Despite the hypocrisy of Faye’s words, after spending the night screaming at him — even flipping him the bird across the courtyard — Faye then dumped Teddy.

The reaction in the UK has been overwhelming, with the majority of viewers siding with Teddy. There’s even a petition to remove Faye from the show, with fans saying that other contestants have been fired for lesser offences.

It’s difficult to understand what triggered Faye’s reaction, but she has a tendency to deflect the blame when anyone accuses her of doing something wrong, which is what she did when Teddy returned from Casa Amor alone. While Faye is an entertaining islander, she is becoming exhausting to watch, as it’s becoming clear that her relationship history has seemingly tainted her ability to trust men.
