I often get more invested in reality TV love stories than my own love life and you don’t get much more wholesome and relatable than ABC’s Love On The Spectrum.
The series follows young adults on the autism spectrum in their search for love and the show recently found an international following after being added to Netflix last year. Following a rather lengthy wait, the reality show returned last night for its second season. If you were a fan of Season 1, I know what you’re wondering: is breakout star, Michael, back for round two?! Yeah he is! After struggling with finding love on dating apps this past year, Michael returns this season to have another crack at finding The One.
Alongside Michael, Season 2 will see the return of Sharne, Jimmy and Mark, with new faces Teo, Jayden, Kassandra, and Ronan joining the crew. The first episode had a lot to love, between Mark’s penchant for dinosaurs, Teo’s affinity for cats, and Michael just being so damn iconic with every line he drops. His refreshing honesty actually gives me oxygen.
Bring on the love stories! As Ronan would say, “Boy, oh boy!” — this season looks set to be just as enthralling as Season 1.
