Big news for Love on the Spectrum fans: our favourite dating show is going global!

Netflix has announced the hit Aussie series will get its very own US version, and it’s set to premiere on the streaming platform on 18 May.

The official synopsis reads: “Following the success of the multi-award-winning Australian series, this US-based series tells the stories of a unique and diverse cast of characters searching for something we all hope to find — love.”

Australia has aired two seasons of the popular dating show, which is a wholesome and informative look into navigating the dating landscape as a neurodiverse person.

The Aussie series has seen a breakout star in Michael Thomas, who won over international fans and even appeared on the Ellen show following the success of Love on the Spectrum on Netflix.

There were even calls for him to become the next Bachelor, a rumour that he quickly shut down in his interview with Ellen.

“No, I’ll explain why. I’ve heard the men aren’t really allowed to be themselves and they’re all so hairless and chiselled which I am not,” Michael said.

While we eagerly await the premiere of the US version of Love on the Spectrum, it’s a good time to remember you can stream the first two seasons on Netflix right now.
