Alyssa Listed The ‘MAFS’ Cast She’s Still Friends With And It Got Shady
It must be a Thursday because Alyssa Barmonde has found time out of her busy parenting schedule for an interview about her MAFS pals, which very obviously shades Duncan James and Evelyn Ellis in the process.
The former Married At First Sight bride has stayed uncharacteristically quiet about her ex’s new relationship with their former co-star Evelyn, apart from a few digs here and there. However, her latest jab has made it very clear that she’s not in contact with the love birds.
When asked which former cast members she’s still friendly with, she replied “I’m friends with 98 percent of them [the MAFS cast] and you can put two and two together on who the 2 percent are,” Alyssa told Heat World.
If that wasn’t obvious enough, Alyssa was directly asked if she was referring to Duncan and Evelyn to which she responded “Maybe”.
She added, “I’m really close with most of the girls, there are a few WhatsApp chats floating around. Janelle [Han] has just moved to Sydney so I catch up with Janelle quite often. Bronte [Schofield] and Lyndall [Grace] have also moved to Sydney so I can’t wait to catch up with them when I get back from the States. I speak to Cam quite often.”
“Harrison [Boon] surprisingly rings me every week or so to do a mental health check on me which is very nice. Josh [White] I catch up with a lot as well because he is in Sydney, too. Then Tahnee [Cook] and Ollie [Skelton], love them to death, so pretty much almost everyone.”
While Alyssa managed to name more cast members than we can remember in this post-MAFS blur, she did exclude a handful of participants including Layton Mills, Melinda Willis, Claire Nomarhas, and Jesse Burford.
However, her exclusion of Duncan and Evelyn — who are both located in Sydney, like her — is very telling.
Meanwhile, we should probably discuss Alyssa’s WEEKLY phone calls with Harrison. Did these two ever interact on the show? When did they exchange phone numbers? Have their kids met yet? How can Alyssa be friends with both Harrison and Bronte? These are just a few questions I have that will sadly probably never be answered.
Regardless, a regular mental health check-in call sounds… sweet?
Speaking of mental health, it sounds as though Alyssa’s really been through the ringer post-MAFS, which she reiterated in the interview by encouraging fans to be kind to all of the contestants.
“We film for so long and you guys see so little that you just have to take it with a grain of salt as you’re watching it,” Alyssa stressed. “Just understand that we are all people who do have feelings and watch it for entertainment. Don’t take it seriously. Please don’t write any hate messages to anyone because people don’t deserve it.”
Amen, sister.
