mafs tahnee ollie tiktok feud

Why, Exactly, Are Tahnee And Ollie Fighting On TikTok?

I’ll be the first to admit it has been rather peaceful in my pea brain since Married At First Sight stopped airing. Perhaps too peaceful, because it appears that past cast members heard the deafening silence and decided to stir up some shit.

The cast members in question are ex-success story couple Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton.

Tahnee and Ollie made it through the entirety of their season of the show, saying yes to each other at final vows, before moving in together in the real world and lasting nearly a whole calendar year before breaking up.

By all measures, the breakup seemed smooth. So smooth, in fact, that they were doing breakup dances on TikTok. No, I’m not taking the piss, they really did that.

But things have since gone, umm… unamicable? Not a word, but you catch my drift.

Their TikTok feud began when Tahnee posted a TikTok lip-syncing to the Billie Eilish banger ‘Happier Than Ever’, and by that I mean she sang along to the following fruity lines:

“And I don’t talk shit about you on the internet

Never told anyone anything bad.”

While she didn’t do anything as obvious as tagging Ollie in the video, she did write a rather pointed caption saying: “I actually didn’t talk shit about you, I just said what happened and it’s not my fault the situation makes you look bad.”

This probably could have just quietly existed on the internet, not stirring up any drama, but the algorithm did its thing and the video ended up clocking 1.8 million views.

Tahnee has since shared another clip chatting through the logic behind the first video and explaining that she has now found “clarity” following her split with Ollie and that she would like to spill just a little dribble of tea.

Turns out she was not super comfortable with some of Ollie’s actions following their separation, claiming that he brought a woman back to the home they still shared just a few weeks after they split. While she didn’t explicitly accuse Ollie of cheating during their relationship, she did talk of a suspicious cardigan that she found in her bedroom…

“All I’m gonna say is when we were together I came from a holiday and I found an item of clothing, a cardigan, in my bedroom that was not mine. To this day, I still don’t know whose cardigan this is,” she said. “It just fucked me, it kind of put things in a bit of a downward spiral.”

And just to sprinkle some more chaos onto this TikTok feud, Tahnee also offered Ollie’s new girlfriend some sobering advice: “I hope what happened to me doesn’t happen to you, and I hope that you can look at a situation and not believe things for face value like I did.”

In case you missed it, Ollie just hard launched his new relationship on Instagram. He’s dating a lass called Nadia. And while that should be well-received news, the internet has not been happy with the turnaround time between his relationships — so much so that Ollie felt the need to release a statement on his Instagram Story.

“Hey, I just wanted to speak on this a bit as I’ve gotten it a couple times. I understand the perception of this being ‘quick’. The reality is Tahnee and I broke up last November. There has been so much press regarding our breakup that it may seem fresher but personally I’m very much removed from the situation,” he posted.

He went on to say that he’s “never felt this way” about a previous partner the way he does with his current girlfriend. Before you get worried that was a dig at Tahnee, he swiftly followed up with: “That’s not a gloat, but rather acknowledging that everyone moves at their own pace and everyone’s story is different too.”

The MAFS groom ended with a bit of a plea, saying, “I’m so happy and I hope you guys can support that but if you can’t that’s okay too.”

I will be praying for peace and serenity from here on out, but I fear there is much more to come out of this drama cabana.
