New ‘MAFS’ Intruder Kasey Osborne May Look Familiar & Here’s Why

We’re all set to meet the Married at First Sight intruders tonight and while we’re across Lizzie’s second attempt to find a match, another intruder Kasey Osborne may also look a little familiar after doing the rounds of the entertainment industry over the last 10 years.

Kasey (who also goes by KC) moved to LA in 2010 and signed a record deal with Top 40 hitmaker The Dream, telling the Daily Telegraph at the time that she was going for a Kylie Minogue “pop kind of thing”.

Kasey was also rumoured to be one of the stars of short-lived reality series The Shire but then was notably absent from the show’s premiere.

Not long after, she released a song called ‘Learn To Fly’ and it’s a hot mess of every music style that ever existed in the early-2010s.

From the auto-tune to the vague techno beat, you could maybe say after six tequila shots that the song is a mix of early Kesha meets Kylie. But the best part is where there’s a mid-song dance breakdown for no particular reason.

For my Vanderpump fans out there, I’m getting wild Scheana Shay ‘Good As Gold’ vibes. IMO Kasey should’ve never been lured back for Aussie reality TV when she could’ve just hit up SUR and rivalled Scheana for all the bartenders’ attention.

More recently Kasey has also uploaded this cover of Harry Styles’ ‘Sign of The Times’ and there’s some real emotion going on here.

The smashed roses, the big glass of wine, the slow spinning on the beach… and that’s just what I call my normal Saturday night.

And we can’t forget to mention Kasey also did some backup dancing in some of the Pussycat Dolls burlesque shows.

While the LA fantasy may not have launched her into being the next Britney Spears, we can only hope she and rumoured husband (also a musician) Drew Brauer will make some beautiful music together. Or at least perform a rap to rival Dean and Tracey from back in the day.

Anyway, I’m off to listen to ‘Learn To Fly’ again. It’s now or never.
