Ooh, boy. Married at First Sight has been delivering the DRAMA this year, and last night’s dinner party was no exception.

The fallout of Adam and Claire’s little lie and casual gaslighting of Jesse was the talk of the town (uh, rather, the dinner party) as they came to face the music and admit to the group that they did the dirty: they pashed.

Janelle didn’t come to play: she was dressed to kill, and if looks could kill Adam would be six feet under right now. Unfortunately for us, he’s still on the show lying his little heart out, and the one person who was keeping him accountable was Harrison. Yes. Worst guy ever, Harrison. I don’t know what happened to him last night but I can only assume he had a full brain transplant because he said numerous things that made sense and called Adam out on all his bullshit.

As they say, a broken clock is still right twice a day.

Claire for her part owned all her shit, even after a frosty reception from a lot of the other women. Jesse, who was looking like a hurt puppy dog for most of the night, acknowledged Claire’s bravery for facing the music, and the two snuck out of the dinner party together.

Is all well that ends well? Lol, of course not, it’s MAFS, silly! Who the hell knows what will happen next!

But what a beautiful dinner party welcome for our two new couples.

Anyway let’s just get into the best part — the funny tweets.

Here’s last night’s Married at First Sight shitshow recapped via the best tweets.

Tensions were high as everyone headed into the dinner party knowing that the cheating saga will be on full display. Alyssa and Duncan are on very different sides, with Alyssa saying she won’t be fake to Claire and Adam, and Duncan saying that he doesn’t condone Adam’s actions but he’s not going to ignore him.

And in a topsy-turvy world, Harrison decides he’s going to make sure Adam is held accountable for his wrongdoings.

There’s also a hint of Cameron being in the doghouse with Lyndall??

Claire comes into a very frosty reception from the group, particularly from the girls, while the room floods towards Jesse when he enters.

Adam arrives and immediately tries to pull Jesse away for a chat.

The dinner party kicks off with a speech from Janelle, and she doesn’t hold back, demanding Adam and Claire tell their story. “I’m sure a lot of you have heard a lot has happened this week and you want to know more. So let’s start off by hearing from Adam and Claire,” she suggests.

Adam, of course, decides to go into damage control, apologising to Janelle and Jesse then trying to say he and Janelle were in a bad place. “There’s nobody on this table who has taken it harder than myself,” he says. Sorry?!

Adam then tries to say he didn’t cheat on Janelle because they weren’t in a proper relationship yet. Again, sorry?! Janelle gets upset and Adam LAUGHS?! She then drops the bomb they were intimate the night he kissed Claire.

Harrison then dives in to hold Adam accountable and sorry, who is this man?

Alyssa calls out Claire for lying to Janelle and Claire apologises to the whole table. Jesse is impressed that Claire has owned her behaviour the way she has.

The table actually spends some time getting to know the two new couples: Evelyn and Rupert, and Tayla and Hugo. Tayla starts digging herself a hole explaining her relationship so far with Hugo before taking a shine to Cameron.

Harrison apologises to Jesse about taking Adam’s side during the commitment ceremony. Jesse and Melinda are wildly confused by this new-look Harrison.

Adam finally manages to pull Jesse away for a chat and tells him Janelle is a liar. Poor Jesse is trying to disassociate and doesn’t trust Adam or Harrison. He is right to say so!

Claire hands Jesse a letter and they both decide to sneak out of the dinner party.

Married at First Sight returns Sunday night at 7pm on Channel Nine.
