Married at First Sight’s 2020 season may have been a little lacklustre, but there are some enticing rumours swirling around the 2021 season that could up the drama to a whole new level.

Reports have started circulating that MAFS will do an All Stars season – with the wording saying old participants would be matched with “celebrities”.

Confused? Same. Originally my thought was past participants would come back to be matched with each other, but who knows how exactly this will play out.

NW has reported that a “show spy” said the producers want to shake things up and are looking at the format of successful shows like Survivor: All Stars.

“Producers are changing up the format. They’re going to bring back past participants and match them with celebrities,” the secret spy said.

Names thrown around for the All Stars edition have included past contestants Nasser Sultan, Tracey Jewel, and Mikey Pembroke.

NW also added a “leaked” text from John Aiken where it said they were debating if they had a celebrity matched with another celebrity (assuming this means two former MAFS contestants matched together) or a “celebrity” matched with an outsider.

If anything, we just need to know if the word celebrity in this context branches out to just mean “former MAFS stars” then we can stop being so confused by what they actually mean. Like, don’t throw the word celebrity out there and have me excited for Liam Hemsworth rocking up to get married, only to show me bloody tattooed hairline Mike, you know?

All I can say is, bring back Deb.
