Everything We Know About Straight-Talking Evelyn From ‘MAFS’
Upon first glance, you could be wondering why Evelyn Ellis would even need a show like Married at First Sight: the gorgeous and successful model has already fared the reality TV cycle once before, lived to tell the tale, and seems to lead an enviable life.
But while people may assume she has it all together in life and relationships, the no-bullshit queen has been keeping herself guarded and hanging out with her two dachshunds to avoid any heartbreak.

According to her bio, Evelyn’s ex applied for a dating show when they were still LIVING TOGETHER, and she attributes her Chinese-Australian upbringing and being a child of divorce as to why she struggles to show affection or express love.
The girl’s girl and model is ultimately looking for a forever partner, and would love marriage and kids one day. She’s been matched with the very awkward Rupert Budgen (who apparently isn’t as shy as what he’s being portrayed) and the two seem to be getting along relatively well… for now.
From the show, we’ve learned Evelyn is a loyal friend – when Rupert butt-dialled her on a boys’ night out and she overheard the men talking negatively about their wives, she was quick to tell Sandy all the vile things Dan had been saying about her.
We also know this isn’t Evelyn’s first stint on reality TV, after she appeared on Big Brother UK when she was just 18 years old, something she’s recently said has been hard to rewatch.

She regrets her Big Brother experience because she was so young
“Big Brother wasn’t my finest performance in life,” Evelyn told Pedestrian TV’s podcast We’ve Done The MAFS. “Imagine being 18, ploughed with alcohol and then having cameras in your face and then going on live television. I’m still seeing videos and pictures resurface from 10 years ago so for me that’s hard to rewatch. I don’t think I’m ever going to fully be completely okay with that.”
One of the most ~scandalous~ scenes that aired in 2016 on Big Brother UK featured Evelyn partaking in a topless kiss with fellow contestant Laura Carter, while Marco Pierre White Jr instructed the ladies on how to kiss each other.
She had a friendship of sorts with Andrew Tate when they filmed Big Brother together, but they are no longer in contact
“Andrew and I were in the [Big Brother] house briefly at the same time, and he left early. We stayed friends and when Andrew was in my life and we were mates or whatever, he wasn’t Andrew Tate [that we know today],” Evelyn told the podcast.
Despite the awkwardness between her and new husband Rupert, she’s said she’s really glad they were paired together
“I really appreciate being matched with Rupert. I think he has a very good heart and our core values align and there’s not a bad bone in his body. And definitely after seeing some of the other husbands I was like, thank god I got Rupert,” she said in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I think the audience will eventually be pleasantly surprised with what happens next.”
There’s no lost love between Evelyn and fellow MAFS cast member Dan
After receiving Rupert’s infamous butt-dial and hearing Dan talk negatively about his wife Sandy, Evelyn recently gave an interview to Newcastle’s Hit106.9 radio show, claiming that Dan was seeing someone during filming.
“The fact he was been leaking his secret girlfriend like, setting up shots on the beach with his like, big-boobed girlfriend like right after the show, I think that discredits everything Dan has to say,” Evelyn said. “The fact he was even going on the show whilst seeing someone, like, just be quiet Dan.”
