Everything We Know About Brent From ‘Married At First Sight’
If you’ve got “bad feet” then this man does not want to marry you! Introducing Brent Vitiello: Married at First Sight’s foot-phobic groom.
The 33-year-old hospitality manager from NSW is matched this season with operations manager Tamara Djordjevic. Both contestants have high standards for their partner: Tamara wants a man who will keep her on her toes, while Brent wants a woman with, well, very nice toes!
If you missed the first MAFS episode, Brent revealed that he has a pretty serious foot complex and that if his wife had bad feet, this would be a dealbreaker for him. Brent admitted that feet “freaks me out, completely”, and his fear is “more of a phobia than something I just don’t like”.
On the way to the wedding, Tamara wondered whether her new hubby will give her a foot rub, but Brent has already ruled this out completely. “I will not be rubbing my wife’s feet, not now, not ever,” he said in a confessional.

Along with his foot phobia, during the first episode we also discovered that Brent has only recently returned from Dubai. He spent seven years running a successful events management company, but his business was hit badly by the pandemic, prompting Brent’s return to Sydney. “I had very successful businesses, I had a big name for myself and it was going really well,” he told 9Entertainment. “I lost up to six figures when COVID-19 hit… I lost everything.”
Since moving back to Australia, Brent started to reassess his priorities, leading him to the realisation that all his professional success felt empty without someone to share it with. “I’ve been focusing on nothing but work and business and re-establishing myself… I lost track of my personal life,” said Brent. “I was avoiding commitment, avoiding dating, avoiding anything that made me anxious.”
After avoiding dating Brent is now ready to meet The One, however, Tamara doesn’t quite fit his criteria. Brent considers himself non-pretentious and non-judgmental, which are also qualities he’s seeking in a potential partner. Based on Tamara’s statements at their wedding reception on proper dining etiquette and retail workers lacking ambition, this could be a point of contention for the new couple.
Brent described himself as genuine, confident, charismatic, and sociable, and he’s looking for a natural beauty. As previously mentioned, his wife having well-maintained feet is a non-negotiable.
Seriously, where does this show find these men??
