Everything We Know About Brett From ‘Married At First Sight’
Brett Helling is set to be this season of Married at First Sight’s hipster dream boy.
Hailing from Victoria, Brett (nickname Scuba) is an electrician and psychology student, who also volunteers with the Salvation Army. He has aspirations to eventually open a treatment centre to help people experiencing homelessness, and other vulnerable people.
At first glance, Brett looks like that pretentious guy you once dated from Brunswick, who sent you a breakup poem. But at his wedding, Brett proved that he’s more than his un-ironic moustache — in fact, he’s a total sweetheart. He treated his match Booka Nile like the queen that she is, and revealed that he has a beautiful relationship with his family.
After scrolling his Instagram, I discovered that Brett has an affinity for birds, as he’s pictured holding birds in several of his Instagram photos. It’s actually adorable.

Aside from befriending birds, Brett also likes to cook in his spare time. On his Instagram Stories, he’s posted a series of videos of him doing tutorials called Little Bretty Cooks, where he whips up dishes like ramen, chilli, curry, and even muffins from scratch. According to his bio, some of Brett’s cooking knowledge comes from a chance encounter with Gordon Ramsay, who taught him how to make his signature dish.

Brett’s bio notes that in his downtime, he enjoys surfing and skating with friends. He is looking for a wife who is naturally beautiful, funny, and laidback. It’s like he’s describing every single trait that makes up his TV wife Booka.
We have extremely high hopes for this match. Brett has said that he can’t wait to be a dad, because family is very important to him. Their kids are going to be so attractive, I can’t take it.
