The Real Star Of The ‘MAFS’ Premiere Was Bronte’s Sister Kirra

The Season 10 premiere of Married at First Sight aired last night and, boy oh boy, did it kick off with some drama.

Normally we wait with bated breath until the honeymoons or dinner parties hit to get any real rush of drama. But the wedding between Bronte Schofield and Harrison Boon blew up after a wedding guest revealed to Bronte that Harrison had been promising a “20-year-old girl” on the outside that he was basically going on MAFS for a lol and would come back to her after the show filmed.

Needless to say, Bronte was devastated after thinking she and Harrison had formed a connection. Queen Bronte deserves better!

But while our hearts broke for her, a new MAFS MVP rose to the surface: Bronte’s sister, Kirra.

Kirra had Harrison pegged from the moment she walked down the aisle as one of Bronte’s bridesmaids and exchanged initial greetings with the groom. “You’re a lucky man,” she told Harrison.

If side-eye looks could kill.

“She’s not doing too badly herself,” Harrison replied, much to Kirra’s disdain.

While Kirra kept a careful eye on the groom, Harrison appeared to win over Bronte and everyone else at the wedding ceremony with his overall vibe of being stunned by the beautiful Bronte.

But at the reception, things came crashing down when Jessica, a wedding guest and friend of Bronte’s, revealed to the bride that she knew of Harrison and she knew that he was dating someone on the outside.

After Bronte confronted Harrison and he gave her a lesson in Gaslighting 101, she grabbed Kirra for some much needed sister time. As the band S2S once sang, “Closer than my closest friend/someone who will be there ’til the end/my sister, sister.”

Anyways.

Kirra quite simply ERUPTED upon finding out the news about Harrison. The disgust! The disdain! The pure-but-angry protective side of her was UNLEASHED.

“I fucking knew it!” she said. “This whole nice guy facade, this is bullshit, what are you on this f*cking show for?!”

Literally, I would not want to face the wrath of this woman at any point in time. Harrison could be buried six feet under by those eyes alone.

If you’re lucky enough to have a close relationship with a sister, you know that it doesn’t matter if they’re the ones getting hurt or if you get hurt: you both feel the same emotions for each other. Which makes Kirra’s blowup even more iconic, because she could take on all the anger Bronte couldn’t feel at the time due to her own shock.

Fans of Married at First Sight were quick to praise Bronte’s sister, Kirra, as the standout star of last night’s episode. Here are some of the best reactions:

Hopefully, Kirra can make another appearance in a future episode. Crashing a dinner party? Dragging Bronte away from the honeymoon? Whatever it is, I’m here for it.

Married at First Sight returns tonight at 7:30pm on Channel Nine and 9Go.
