Everything We Know About Brazilian Bride Carolina From ‘Married At First Sight’
Carolina Santos is sure to be a bride to divide opinion on this year’s Married at First Sight.
The 33-year-old intruder matched with Dion Giannarelli has become embroiled in this season’s cheating scandal, after she met another groom Daniel Holmes for a number of secret rendezvous. Strangely enough, it looks like Carolina and Daniel dated after the experiment and are still together but that’s a whole other story!
While Carolina was having meetups with Daniel, she was feuding with Dion: the couple eventually reached breaking point and moved into separate apartments.
In an interview with Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa, Carolina spoke about her growing attraction to Daniel. “Look, Daniel is definitely good looking. He’s definitely more my type, right? But yeah, that’s all I’m gonna say,” she told the hosts.
Ryan Fitzgerald then quizzed Carolina over how she was contributing to the relationship with Dion. “I think I’m just having too much wine with Daniel and too busy doing that,” she replied. “No, actually, I don’t know, he is trying. I struggle trusting men for things that I’ve gone through and I just stopped because we weren’t getting along and not just looks, a bit of a personality as well.”
Fitzy then launched into the Brazilian bride, telling her “I know this is harsh, but you’ve got a 16-year-old son. Do you think that’s you’re setting a good example for him?” At that stage, Carolina hung up on the radio duo. “Carolina? I think she’s hung up,” Wippa said. Oop!
Carolina is clearly not a woman willing to just smile and play nice — but what do we actually know about her?

Carolina was born in Brazil, falling pregnant at 15 to her high school boyfriend, and raised her son as a single mother with the support of her family. In search of more opportunities, Carolina moved to Sydney where she eventually taught herself English and started an online business renting out designer handbags.
Carolina has travelled all across the world, with her Instagram littered with happy snaps captured in exotic locations ranging from New York City, Las Vegas, Saint Tropez to Mykonos. Another feature of Carolina’s Instagram is professional photography shots in swimwear and lingerie, which suggests she’s modelled in the past.
Carolina describes herself as passionate, direct and filter-free when it comes to how she approaches relationships. As Carolina’s father died while her mother was pregnant, she said that growing up without a man in her life has made her try to seek out a partner to fill the gap. This meant she often jumped from relationship to relationship, settling for the wrong men.
In one of her most recent relationships, Carolina found out her partner was cheating on her. Carolina often falls hard and fast for men, but the relationships turn tumultuous and end in drama.
Carolina’s most consistent relationship has been with her 16-year-old son who she described as her “everything”. Having a child at a young age has shaped her dating life but she has no regrets. “It was an amazing experience. It was hard in the beginning but now that he’s a teenager, we like so many of the same things now because we’re so close in age,” she told 9Entertainment.
“We can just do a lot of things that I didn’t get to do with my mum, for example, because of our age gap. So there are positives, but it was hard at times, especially in the beginning.”
