Put out your cowboy hats and whisper a sad little “yee-haw” into your coffee mug this morning: Andrew has officially left Married at First Sight.

The controversial groom was a no-show at last night’s commitment ceremony, with the experts confirming he had quit the experiment. And yes, this is the same guy who declared he was “not a quitter” at last week’s commitment ceremony. Irony? He doesn’t know her!

With Andrew MIA, Holly had to face her fellow contestants alone on the experts’ couch and oh boy, did she let them have it. ICYMI: during the last dinner party, Andrew arrived first and managed to turn the group against Holly before she had even arrived to share her side of the story. The worst culprits were Tamara and Olivia, who showed zero compassion in the way they approached Holly.

On Sunday night’s episode Holly addressed the group, reading out a letter about how she felt silenced in her relationship with Andrew. But just as most of the room started to empathise with Holly, Jackson and Olivia both butted in to argue against her claims. It was not nice and this couple’s fall from grace is something none of us expected. Speaking of unexpected, Selin and Anthony have somehow become one of the most solid couples left in the experiment.

One thing we’ve learnt from this show is that you’ll either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain. Or in Selin’s case, the reverse!

Last night’s drama-packed Married at First Sight commitment ceremony retold in funny tweets:

Ahead of the commitment ceremony, the couples split up and Holly caught up with Olivia and Selin. It was here as Holly was pouring her heart out that Olivia showed very little empathy, once again bringing up that Holly once rolled her eyes at Andrew.

The couples converged on the commitment ceremony and immediately everyone notices that one groom is missing: the experts reveal Andrew has left the experiment. Holly sat on the couch alone to read a letter to the other contestants, basically dragging everyone for not supporting her at the dinner party.

As Holly spoke about feeling silenced while married to Andrew, Jackson and Olivia both interrupted Holly. This couple has officially been knocked off their pedestal. Meanwhile, Selin and Dom stood up for Holly and we loved to see it.

The heroes-turned-villains then sat on the couch. Olivia apologised to Holly when Alessandra said she came across as harsh at the dinner party. However, viewers couldn’t help but notice that her apology followed her doubling down on her comments mere minutes earlier.

Selina and Cody reveal to the experts they’ve had sex, and Dom and Jack also appear to be super loved-up. Randomly, Selin and Anthony are another couple who appear to be thriving.

On the flip-side, Sam and Al are at breaking point after a post-dinner party argument saw Sam upset with Al as she felt pressured to take part in last week’s kissing challenge. They still both vote to stay and Sam even attempted Al’s Superman ‘S’.

The experts tell Mitch the way he spoke to Ella at the dinner party was “condescending” and “demeaning”, but he maintains he’s just a blunt person. Yikes.

Finally, the worst couple you know — Tamara and Brent — voted to stay together another week, despite Brent claiming Tamara is controlling and Tamara saying Brent wants her to repress her real personality. Dream couple alert!
