Merman Dan Reckons Sandy Faked Their ‘MAFS’ Relationship And Pls Stop

After ditching Married at First Sight and his bride to return to his one true love — the ocean — Dan Hunjas has briefly returned from the arms of his salty love to throw one last jab at poor Sandy Jawada.

Hitting up Fitzy & Wippa following the pair yeeting themselves from the experiment, Merman Dan left no doubt in our minds that he really is the self-serving dingus we thought he was all along, after he claimed that Sandy wanted to put on a facade for the cameras in order to make it further in the experiment.

“Sandy came to me with a secret arrangement,” he told the radio hosts on Monday.

“She was like, ‘I’m not your person Dan, you’re not my person. I’ve given up too much to be here. Let’s just set up a secret arrangement to get through to the end because I’ve given up too much to be here’, [and] I agreed to that.”

Not only did the salty sea dog throw sweet Sandy under the bus with the unconfirmed claims, but he also insisted that it was only after they made this “secret arrangement” that he started bailing on his devastated bride during the experiment for hours at a time for “exercise”.

“At that point in time, I’m like, ‘Okay cool. Well, in non-filming time, I’m going to do what Dan loves doing best, which is go to the beach and hang out in the outdoors and that kind of thing’,” he continued. “I think that’s more than okay.” Looks like our definitions of “more than okay” are wildly different, but go off, sis.

This is the latest claim in a string of gross news that has no doubt added salt to the wounds (sorry) of his jilted bride Sandy, following the revelation during MAFS that Dan is rumoured to be dating nurse Samantha Symes, who was actually a guest at the pair’s nuptials.

When Sandy herself appeared on Fitzy & Wippa, the hosts asked, “Sandy, I need to ask you this. He [Dan] is currently seeing a woman that was at your wedding. Did you ask him questions about it? Did you know who she was?”

The dental hygienist replied, “There were a lot of girls at the wedding. A few of them he had told me about, saying they were all friends of his.”

“To be honest, I didn’t really remember Sam too much. But I think back now, I thought everybody was really friendly and nice. Watching the wedding [on TV], I didn’t realise half the comments that were being said [about me].”

She added, “But look, the more I’m knowing about Dan, it’s not surprising.”

We can only hope that sweet Sandy soon finds the man she deserves, and as for Dan? Well, best of luck to him and the sea, we guess.

Married at First Sight airs Sunday to Wednesday on Channel 9.
