As per usual, drama was on the menu at last night’s Married at First Sight dinner party.

Melinda and Layton continued to bicker over this week’s Feedback Week task which required couples to switch partners for a few days. These two spend more time fighting than Harrison spends gaslighting — and that’s saying something.

Speaking of that dude, him and Bronte appear to have broken up for the 53rd time this season, and that was only in the first 10 minutes of the episode.

Much to discuss! Let’s dig in while highlighting some excellent tweets!

Last night’s dinner party disaster on Married at First Sight recapped in tweets:

Bronte relays to Harrison what happened at girls’ night, but he has no sympathy for her. Harrison plays the victim and Bronte finally says “you and I are not good,” and omg, finally some facts. She decides to avoid the dinner party and says she wants to go home, which means Harrison arrives alone.

Ollie comes dressed as The Rock, which is the couple’s only storyline the whole episode because they’re perfect.

As Harrison starts his sob story at the cocktail party, Melinda and Layton waltz in holding hands despite their unresolved issues. After hearing that Harrison is questioning her butt dial story, Evelyn and her partner Rupert come out swinging.

Cam confesses he hasn’t told Lyndall the whole story about the nature of his remote work. Finally over dinner, he admits he could be away working for up to a year. The experts suspect he’s getting “cold feet” in the relationship.

Lyndall is frustrated Cam isn’t willing to compromise, or consider moving to Perth. When asked by Ollie if he’d quit his job for Lyndall, he’s not keen to be flexible. He gets caught out by saying he “would move for love”, suggesting he does not love Lyndall. Oop!

Harrison adds his two cents to suggest that Lyndall does “remote accounting”. Evelyn ain’t having it, telling Harrison that him offering advice is a bit rich… considering his wife is MIA.

Layton shares that he’s questioning his compatibility with Melinda. As he’s speaking his truth about his choice not to do the task, Harrison makes a joke about couple-swapping. Melinda and Layton argue back and forth until she ‘does a Bronte’ and walks off.

Melinda vents to the girls that it’s always Layton’s way or the highway. Layton worries with the fellas that they bring out the worst in each other.
