To say Married at First Sight upped the ante this week during couples retreat is an understatement. We’re still reeling from the drama and we still have a dinner party episode to go!

Last night saw part two of the explosive couples retreat air, focusing on the fallout of Domenica and Olivia’s fight at girls’ night that resulted in Dom smashing a wine glass.

As the news got back to the group, Olivia’s slightly uh, embellished version was heard first while Dom gave herself some space from the group dynamic to clear her head. She later apologised to the women and the group as a whole, owning up to her actions, which led to Olivia calling her out once again.

Things then took a turn when Jackson accepted Dom’s apology on behalf of the group, before gently calling Olivia out later on her snide remarks. This left Olivia inconsolable and on the verge of a panic attack.

In short, the whole episode was A LOT.

In nicer news, Mitch and Ella were back on track, Kate and Matt even shared a spa bath together, and Jack’s support of Dom was beautiful to watch.

Oh yeah, and Carolina and Daniel are still flirting outrageously over the phone, but honestly who really cares.

Let’s recap last night’s messy Married At First Sight couples retreat via the best tweets:

Jack was quick to comfort Dom as soon as he found out she was upset and it warmed all of our hearts.

Olivia tells her side of the story to the rest of the group and it’s gotten slightly more dramatic. Ella calls her out in defence of Dom, but Olivia is hellbent on saying Dom waved the wine glass at her “like a weapon”.

The next day, Jack debriefs with the boys, leading to Jackson talking to Olivia about what went down. He encourages her to be the bigger person.

Meanwhile, Kate and Matt are sharing a spa together and Tamara is avoiding spending time with Brent.

Al writes Sam a poem to show her he’s still keen to make things work out for them.

Carolina and Dion have another argument after Carolina tries to gaslight Dion into thinking she’d put in an effort to build a friendship with him by asking him to go for a run??

Dom apologises at dinner, and Olivia rolls her eyes, pulls faces, and makes rude comments under her breath.

Jackson calls out Olivia for her snide remarks, leading to her having a breakdown.
