Married at first sight reunion recap

The Final ‘MAFS’ Reunion Episode Recapped Via The Funniest Tweets

We did it, fam! Married at First Sight is over for another year.

After keeping us in a 10-week chokehold with a whopping 36 episodes, Season 10 wrapped last night with the cast sitting down with the experts for one final check-in.

While some couples were given absolutely no screen time (RIP Bronte and Harrison particularly), the experts checked in with nearly all of the couples who made it to final vows (minus Rupert and Evelyn, sorry team).

With two couples finding their happily ever after, and a lot of unresolved feelings to get through, the reunion episode didn’t really teach us anything we didn’t know already but it was a nice enough ending to over two months of pain.

As always, it’s best enjoyed by reading the funny tweets.

Here’s the final episode of Married at First Sight 2023 recapped via the best tweets.

The couples rewatch their wedding days. Tahnee and Ollie go up first and express their love for each other and the experts are like proud teachers.

Sandy and Dan face their disappointed parents aka the experts. Sandy calls Dan out for not coming into the experiment with the right intentions. The butt dial saga is relived and Hugo’s retelling of the nasty things Dan said about Sandy are brought in front of the group.

Hugo says he led the charge with his rant about Tayla, and Dan then mentioned it was “friends at first sight” and that he felt hard done by. Sandy unleashed over some more vile things Dan said to her after they slept together.

Power couple Melinda and Layton go next and relive their rollercoaster journey and I’m ready for both of them to be the CEO of my life, thanks.

Cam and Lyndall face the music, and their final vows are played to the stunned group. Expert Mel asks about Cam’s relationship with Tayla and both Cam and Tayla say they’re just mates before Tayla accidentally says “it hasn’t been explored yet” hinting at something more.

Cam admits to not being ready for a relationship and the experts continue to call him TF out, with Alessandra asking why he stayed so long, and Mel questioning his cavalier attitude.

Alyssa and Duncan take to the couch and Duncan calls Alyssa out for questioning his character. Alyssa and Duncan’s tumultuous journey is played out for everyone and Alyssa finally takes some accountability and apologises to Duncan.

The last couple up are Jesse and Claire (even though… we missed a whole bunch of couples along the way, but whatever), Jesse takes accountability for his impossible mindset/standards prior to entering the experiment. We then relive the cheating saga and Claire’s gaslighting.

Adam apologises to Jesse and Janelle for doing them “dirty” and he now apparently understands what he did was wrong. Sure, Jan!

Jesse drops that Claire is coming to Perth (to visit, we presume) so he has no parting words for her.

And yep, we totally skipped Harrison and Bronte.

And that’s it! We’re done for another year. Thanks for coming on the journey with us.
