‘MAFS’ Fans Applaud Hugo For Finally Standing Up To Tayla
Alright folks, it’s time to talk about the delicious drama that went down between Tayla Winter and Hugo Armstrong on the latest episode of Married at First Sight and let us tell you, it was a doozy.
ICMYI, the insanely mismatched new couple were subjected to our favourite chaotic MAFS tradition: the photo ranking challenge!
In what made for a majorly shocking move, ice queen Tayla — who previously flat out told Hugo he ‘wasn’t her type’ — actually gave her groom a scrap of acknowledgement by ranking him as number one in her round-up. Yep, even above tradie Cam, whom Tayla previously gushed about like a smitten schoolgirl in front of poor Hugo.
“Honestly, you deserve to be up there because you are funny 60% of the time,” she told her groom. “I’m really lucky. I don’t think I would have liked anyone else, to be honest, to be matched within this experiment.”
“I think he will put me first in the order,” Tayla then told producers, as she tossed her hair in a Regina George-esque fashion. This is the same woman who hasn’t let her groom sleep in a bed since he started the experiment.
But when it came to Hugo’s turn to rank the ladies, he didn’t hold back. “I really want to put you first,” he said. “But do you reckon you deserve to be put at the top with how you’ve been treating me?” to which his bride agreed that she probably (read: definitely) deserved to be last.
“There’s no way I’m gonna let you be last, woman,” Hugo told a chuffed Tay, before sliding her to second-last position.
“That was horrible. I didn’t like that at all,” Tayla said as we cut to a hilarious image of her dishevelled and sprawled out dramatically on the couch.
“It’s another day of acting like somebody has pissed in her cornflakes,” an exhausted Hugo commented.
The bold move had fans cheering on social media, with many praising Hugo for finally speaking out against how nasty Tayla had been since the experiment began:
