The Last ‘MAFS’ Commitment Ceremony Recapped In Tweets
The end is nigh, my friends. On last night’s Married at First Sight, the last commitment ceremony was held before final vows. This season truly feels like it’s lasted 84 years.
During Sunday night’s episode, the contestants had to face the experts after their appalling behaviour during last week’s dinner party when it came to light a nude photo of Dom had been circulated around the group. Despite the experts telling the people involved that their actions were not OK, no one apologised to Dom.
The most shameless of all of the them was (of course) Olivia, who found the photo in the first place. She maintained that what she did was ‘not a big deal’, before she admitted she didn’t have any empathy. It was not great!
One couple did exit the experiment: we bid goodbye to Al and Sam who tbh had both overstayed their time on the show. We could say the same for Tamara and Brent, who against all odds both voted to stay last night despite seemingly having no romantic spark.
At this stage, final vows are going to be overrun by couples that are barely even couples. Thank the Lord for Jack and Dom, who continue to restore our faith in true love every second they appear on screen.
The final Married at First Sight commitment ceremony recapped in tweets:
In the aftermath of the dinner party, Cody gave Selina flowers to apologise for his behaviour.
Cody: Yeah I behaved like a high school jock but Selina is ok, because I got her flowers and you know, chicks dig flowers!
God. Where do they get these shitfaces from? Are they just in Australia or men in UK better? #MAFSAUS #mafsau #mafsaustralia pic.twitter.com/UNYnt26I54

Hey Cody, maybe the flowers should have gone to the person you humiliated…..(cough)….Dom #MAFSAU #MAFS pic.twitter.com/HHwzMSG3Kx

Still reeling from the photo controversy, Dom had questions she wanted Olivia to answer so visited her apartment. However, Olivia shut the door in Dom’s face.
Olivia keeps accusing Domenica of yelling when she’s simply speaking. She’s just the worst. #mafsau #mafsaustralia pic.twitter.com/GCFKeyxwkT

Constantly being accused of shouting when speaking is gaslighting and a tactic to destabilise someone #MAFS #mafsau pic.twitter.com/fny0OUquNr

"Waved a broken glass in my face"
"..best friends googled her"
"..went on a rampage".
What goes on in Olivia's head and reality are polar opposites. #MAFSAU #MAFS

Olivia would have never got away with this type of behaviour on season 6.#MAFS #MAFSAU pic.twitter.com/m9glJEzokn

It’s the last commitment ceremony before final vows. Dom and Jack are first up and spoke about the trauma the photo scandal had inflicted. John asked what Olivia’s motivation were for sending the photo to Selina.
It's cooked that Dom apologised to everyone about the smashed glass yet not one of these assholes have apologized to her for participating in something that is significantly worse. ? #MAFSAU

Watching men like Jack makes me actually want to apply to go on this show #MAFSAU #MAFS

John schooled the contestants on why their group antics were not okay.
EVERYONE ON THE COUCH SHOULD FEEL THIS… EXCEPT Ella pic.twitter.com/5lFP10wuGH

#MAFSAU #MAFS Can the producers now play back to the group the footage of Olivia saying SHE googled the photo…. pic.twitter.com/2PskXloeld

Selina and Cody are next on the experts’ couch, where they shared how their encounter with Cody’s uncle on homestays had brought them closer together.
I really hope Selina is just stringing Cody along so she can dump him at the finale for being a racist douche bag but my faith for that is very very low #MAFS #MAFSAU pic.twitter.com/EFRsgulFqH

Ella and Mitch brought up the Melbourne debate again and discussed dating long-distance. Tamara and Brent followed, then they voted to stay for some unknown reason.
Every time I hear Mitch shit on Melbourne #MAFSAUS #MAFS pic.twitter.com/mpmWs3jT57

Sam and Al reflected on their week, before they decided to finally leave the experiment.
I don’t think I saw Al having the unrequited love storyline, but I feel bad for him. It’s sucks, bro, but good maturity arc. Your positivity has been a breath of fresh air this season. #mafsau #mafsaustralia pic.twitter.com/d1DKfrOcqs

Bless these two.
Sam was patient, Al was hilarious.#MAFS #MAFSAU pic.twitter.com/5puHMYfVlx

John asked Jackson what he thought of all the conflict his wife created. Olivia then got defensive when the experts told her she instigated the dinner party drama.
Jackson: “I can understand Dom’s point of view and why she was upset.” Olivia: (Evil eye death stare wishing he’d die for saying that) ?? #mafsau #mafsaustralia pic.twitter.com/8ImKUSXnCw

How can Jackson sit up so straight without a spine? #MAFSAU #MAFS

Roll the tapes of Olivia bringing the photos up to every single person at the dinner party and saying comments like ‘it’s a bit much’, to now when she’s saying she ‘completely forgot about it’ #mafsau #mafs #gaslighting

Alessandra encouraged Olivia to practice empathy but Olivia said she didn’t have any. After looking bad to the whole room, Olivia then (like clockwork) became teary-eyed.
Imagine bragging about not having empathy to avoid giving an apology.
W O W.
This woman is truly something else. #mafs #MAFSAUS #mafsau

And cue Olivia’s panic attack. The only time her anxiety strikes is when she’s being called out on her bullshit. The rest of the time she’s a sanctimonious mean girl #MAFS #mafsau
