The end is nigh, my friends. On last night’s Married at First Sight, the last commitment ceremony was held before final vows. This season truly feels like it’s lasted 84 years.

During Sunday night’s episode, the contestants had to face the experts after their appalling behaviour during last week’s dinner party when it came to light a nude photo of Dom had been circulated around the group. Despite the experts telling the people involved that their actions were not OK, no one apologised to Dom.

The most shameless of all of the them was (of course) Olivia, who found the photo in the first place. She maintained that what she did was ‘not a big deal’, before she admitted she didn’t have any empathy. It was not great!

One couple did exit the experiment: we bid goodbye to Al and Sam who tbh had both overstayed their time on the show. We could say the same for Tamara and Brent, who against all odds both voted to stay last night despite seemingly having no romantic spark.

At this stage, final vows are going to be overrun by couples that are barely even couples. Thank the Lord for Jack and Dom, who continue to restore our faith in true love every second they appear on screen.

The final Married at First Sight commitment ceremony recapped in tweets:

In the aftermath of the dinner party, Cody gave Selina flowers to apologise for his behaviour.

Still reeling from the photo controversy, Dom had questions she wanted Olivia to answer so visited her apartment. However, Olivia shut the door in Dom’s face.

It’s the last commitment ceremony before final vows. Dom and Jack are first up and spoke about the trauma the photo scandal had inflicted. John asked what Olivia’s motivation were for sending the photo to Selina.

John schooled the contestants on why their group antics were not okay.

Selina and Cody are next on the experts’ couch, where they shared how their encounter with Cody’s uncle on homestays had brought them closer together.

Ella and Mitch brought up the Melbourne debate again and discussed dating long-distance. Tamara and Brent followed, then they voted to stay for some unknown reason.

Sam and Al reflected on their week, before they decided to finally leave the experiment.

John asked Jackson what he thought of all the conflict his wife created. Olivia then got defensive when the experts told her she instigated the dinner party drama.

Alessandra encouraged Olivia to practice empathy but Olivia said she didn’t have any. After looking bad to the whole room, Olivia then (like clockwork) became teary-eyed.
