Every year, Married at First Sight viewers are promised event TV as the reunion episodes are endlessly plugged and this year, it looks like the reality show might just deliver.
If the teaser for the two-part special is anything to go by, we’re in for two nights of historic television. Like legit, this trailer is high art.
From which couples have gone the distance to the controversies set to take hold of the experiment, the reunion special looks like a goddamn drama buffet. In the latest episode of So Dramatic! podcast host Megan Pustetto spilled loads of reunion tea — and we’ve rounded up the most titillating rumours.

Which couples are still together?
According to the podcast, the Married at First Sight couples still together at the reunion were: Olivia and Jackson, Selina and Cody, and perhaps most surprisingly, Ella and Mitch. “They ended up reuniting after final vows and came back to reunion hand in hand,” Pustetto claimed. “Ella actually went to Queensland to spend time with Mitch after final vows.”
This account is backed up by photos captured at the reunion by the Daily Mail, with the publication publishing images of only three couples arriving together. Shockingly, one couple that did not arrive together were Dom and Jack, who look set to go their seperate ways. “The pair are unfortunately no longer together,” a source told the podcast. “They do end their final vows together but by the reunion they’re done — and they arrive separately.”
While Selina and Cody arrived together, the podcast claims their rocky relationship doesn’t even survive the reunion. A source has alleged that Cody and Selina rocked up at the reunion dinner playing happy families, but Cody then “dumped Selina at the reunion after-party at 5am in the morning”. The exes revealed their breakup at the reunion commitment ceremony which is probably where that spine-tingling whisper from Sam came from in the teaser, as she said, “They’re breaking up”.
What happened at the reunion dinner party and commitment ceremony?
Dom and Olivia’s feud is set to be reignited and apparently Olivia will (once again) come off as the villain. “If they show everything that goes down, Australia is going to hate Olivia even more — if that’s even possible,” a source claimed. However, a bigger feud transpires between Ella and Tamara, as Brent claims that Tamara slid into Mitch’s DMs, yet the blonde bride claims Mitch had drunkenly called her and had been “hitting on her”.
In response, Mitch said it was just a “drunk call” and dropped that Tamara had asked him to dinner before final vows.
A contestant told the podcast that Tamara behaved badly at the dinner party as she “broke down at the reunion and took it out on everyone else.” Another contestant added that Tamara and Samantha have been overheard saying that they planned to break Mitch and Ella up.
In one of the more random rumours from the dinner party, Pustetto has alleged that producers tried to encourage Kate and Anthony to hook up. “Kate was totally down for the storyline,” a source claimed, but Anthony was dating someone else at the time so he declined. Selin could also stir up some drama, as she apparently told some of the cast she only went on the show to boost her modelling career and for the endorsement deals.
On to the commitment ceremony, Daniel and Carolina’s affair will dominate the night’s events as the footage of their secret dates will be played to the group. For those interested, the controversial couple are still together.
Olivia will get grilled hard by the experts. “They basically tell Jackson to rethink his decision to stay with her,” a contestant said. “She turns on the waterworks again… and then they pull back a bit.”
What’s happened since?
Olivia and Jackson are still going strong, they even recently attended Olivia’s school reunion together, an ex-friend confirmed to So Dramatic! Jackson has since moved to live with Olivia on the Central Coast. “They are madly in love,” a source revealed.
In the months since, Jack and Dom have apparently still not reunited and any papped photos of them are “‘all just for show” another source claimed, adding they remain friends.
Like Dom and Jack, Mitch and Ella don’t go the distance, apparently splitting soon after the reunion. “He was barely making an effort, barely speaking to her… they then had a bit of a conversation and both agreed it wasn’t going to work,” a source claimed. Another source added that as soon as Mitch returned to the Gold Coast, he was telling people he was single.
Now for the kicker… apparently Tamara and Mitch are actually now dating. “Tamara and Mitch are now dating/seeing each other,” a source said, with one of Mitch’s family members apparently confirming they have been dating for “awhile now,” and even have lunch every day at work.
Despite the rumours, the podcast reports that Ella and Brent are not dating, based on both contestants denying any romantic connection.
