Penn Badgley has dropped his first TikTok and it’s nothing short of spectacular. You and Taylor Swift fans, this one is for y’all.

As we impatiently await the return of You on Netflix, Penn has given us a little Joe Goldberg teaser. In a TikTok to Taylor Swift’s latest song ‘Anti-Hero’, Penn plays himself and someone wearing a baseball hat disguise, aka Joe, as he mouthes the word “It’s me, hi. I’m the problem, it’s me.”

Someone alert Netflix because their boy is running loose on TikTok, with the streaming platform leaving the below comment.

The clip has Taylor Swift’s stamp of approval, with the pop star commenting with the star-eyed emoji. ‘Anti-Hero’ is the first single off Taylor’s Midnights album which dropped last week. Given the song’s self-deprecating lyrics, it has already become a popular TikTok trend.

TikTok users have flooded the clip with comments ranging from “YOU WIN THIS TREND,” to “Needing CPR”. One lucky commenter actually got a video reply from Penn after they wrote “screaming crying throwing up”, which the You actor took quite literally…

It’s official: Penn is already my fave TikToker of all time.

The new season of You will be set in London, after Joe flees from the mess he left in LA. After faking his own death and giving his son up for adoption, Joe has rebranded as a college professor named Jonathan Moore. “I’m not the lovable bookstore manager in New York, or the shop clerk in LA, or the doting husband in the suburbs now. Not anymore,” Joe said in the trailer. “Allow me to reintroduce myself: I’ve gone through a bit of refinement upon crossing the pond. And living in London has allowed me to bury the past, if you will.”

Season 4 of You returns in two parts on February 10 and March 10, 2023 on Netflix.
