If you’re throwing a party or stocking up the pantry, I know that you’re walking down the Woolies or Coles snacks aisle and buying some Red Rock Deli chips. How can you not? They’re amazing, tasty, crowd favourites. But, when it comes to the different types of Red Rock Deli chips, I have some strong feelings as to which flavour combinations are better than the others. Which flavour will take out the number one spot on my list? You’ll just have to wait and see.

Here are the 5 flavours of Red Rock Deli Chips, ranked:

#5. Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream

Red Rock Deli

There’s just something a little off when it comes to Red Rock Deli’s Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream flavour. Sometimes it’s a little too spicy, sometimes it’s a little too sweet, but most of the time, it’s just too much in general. It may be better than most of the sweet-chilli competitors, but it’s just not great and — in my experience — usually gets eaten last

#4. Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar

Red Rock Deli

I feel bad that this flavour is ranked so low. Let me just say, this is not at all a bad chip. In fact, it’s an amazing chip. The idea that Red Rock Deli could class up the classic salt and vinegar flavour by making the vinegar balsamic, is pure genius. But, the reason why it’s this low is that, ultimately, this is less yummy than its Smith’s counterpart. Sorry, but I had to say it.

#3. Lime & Black Pepper

Red Rock Deli

One of the more unique flavours on this list, Lime & Black Pepper is an absolute treat. Props have to be given to this chip for perfectly blending the tangy flavour of lime with the subtle fire behind the ground peppercorn. Honestly, I can’t fault it. As for why it’s not higher… you’re just going to have to wait and see.

#2. Sea Salt

Even though Red Rock Deli is known for their unique flavours, we have to shout out their ability to nail the classic potato chip. Potato, salt, oil — all simple ingredients, but when Red Rock Deli does it, they absolutely nail it. I’m going so far as to say that they nail this combination more than their Kettle and Smith’s competitors. And that’s why, this classic chip comes in second place. But as for my top spot…

#1. Honey Soy Chicken

When I tried Honey Soy Chicken for the first time, my life changed forever. This flavour is God-tier, not just for Red Rock Deli chips but for all potato chips that exist within the grocery aisle. The sweetness of the honey compliments the saltiness of the soy so well, it’s shocking that this flavour hadn’t existed before. Never has a flavour been so surprising but delightful as this one.

Also, shout out to all the school kids who put Honey Soy Chicken. chips in buttered bread — now that was the shit.
