Rove and Sam Frost’s Radio Show Has Been Axed And Will End Tonight
The national radio show hosted by former Bachelor/Bachelorette bae and former TV host Rove McManus has been given the axe.
It’s not a long farewell either. The Hit Network announced that Rove and Sam will say goodbye to their listeners for the last time at the end of tonight’xs show. Rove will stay on within the business and is working on a secretive ‘new project’, but Frosty’s contract is over and she’s getting the flick out the door.
There’s still no word on what Rove’s ‘new project’ will be, but Channel Seven are currently running ads for Marco Pierre White‘s ‘Hells Kitchen’ which features Sammy – so it appears she’ll be trying to stay in view with another crack at reality TV. More interestingly, Gary from Geordie Shore also appears on this show and there’s rumours the two are romantically linked. Bachelorette 2.0 spinoff?
According to a statement released to NewsCorp, a spokeswomen said:
“Rove and Sam’s 7-8 pm show on the Hit Network will finish up today, June 30,”
“Rove’s remaining within the SCA family and working on a new project with another part of our business. Sam’s contract has now ended and we wish her well with her coming up TV work.”
It’s also believed that the pair were contracted to Southern Cross Austereo for another 18 months, so the axing comes well ahead of schedule and after they failed to make waves in the breakfast slot and were pushed into the drive time afternoon schedule.
Cya duudes.
