Calling all my devo Taylor girlies who missed out during the pre-sale, there’s a glimmer of hope! After “historically unprecedented demand” for tickets (which we all saw coming), Taylor Swift has added two more Australian shows.

There’s an extra show in Melbourne on Sunday, February 18, and an extra show in Sydney on Monday, February 26. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 30, at 10am for the Sydney shows and 2pm for the Melbourne shows.

Frontier Touring has confirmed that Tay won’t be adding any extra dates to her Australian leg, so set your alarms and round the troops – it’s going to be hectic.

Ticketek defends “fair” ticketing system:

And if you were one of the many unlucky fans who stared at a loading bar for hours on Wednesday wondering how the cursed Ticketek lounge worked, apparently the process was “fair”. Hmm.

In the list of tips shared by Ticketek during the pre-sale, customers were told to keep their browsers open and avoid refreshing the page. This made fans believe they were in a queue, but that’s not how the process works at all.

A Ticketek insider told News.com.au that those able to purchase tickets are chosen at random, and there’s no queue at all. This means that a person who joined the lounge at 11am would have the same chance as somebody who joined the lounge at 6am, if they were still waiting for their turn.

“Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,” the spokesperson said.

There are so many rumours flying around about what works when it comes to getting your hands on a ticket, but it seems as though it boils down to dumb luck.

So for all the Swifties out there, we’re manifesting tickets for you, and may the odds ever be in your favour.
