The 30 Most Iconic Bachy Contestants Of All Time, Ranked
Ahead of another season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette we decided it was time to celebrate what really makes each series so damn addictive: the contestants.
The Aussie series has hosted some truly unique characters, from bad bitches like Laurina and Florence, to villains like Charlie and David (aka the International Model).
We thought it was time to do a definitive ranking of the most memorable contestants and we’ve selected 30 series standouts.
The most iconic contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette history, ranked:
#30. Cat from Bali
The Bachelor, Season 6
Did you hear Cat was from Bali? Have you tried Cat’s jewellery line? Iconic.
#29. Jen
The Bachelor, Season 5
Jen was one of the most memorable Bachy bullies. She was truly extra, from the ‘putrid dress’ incident to the time she was made to wear this in a photoshoot and hated every second of it.
#28. Charlie
The Bachelorette, Season 4
Sometimes you become an icon for all the wrong reasons. Charlie was controlling and unnecessarily aggressive on Ali’s season.
#27. Eliza
The Bachelor, Season 4
Remember Eliza?! The bonkers contestant that broke into song upon meeting Richie. What a star.
#26. Brittney
The Bachelor, Season 6
Speaking of legends, Brittney’s short stint on The Bachelor then Bachelor In Paradise was one for the record books. HeLLLoOOooOoO!
#25. Jules
The Bachelorette, Season 4
Jules is like a human emoji and his wildly exaggerated facial expressions are extremely pure, even if he is a low-key softboi.
#24. Cameron
The Bachelorette, Season 2
Fireman Cam and his adorable Disney-inspired date with Georgia is still the cutest thing ever produced by this series. He is so wholesome and we don’t deserve him.
#23. Bill
The Bachelorette, Season 4
I will forever be grateful to Bill for gifting us with the ‘dog park’ meme that still gives us life.
#22. Alisha
The Bachelor, Season 6
Every story needs a narrator and no Bachy narrator is more iconic than Alisha.
#21. Ivan
The Bachelorette, Season 4
While he might have acted like a douche on Bachelor In Paradise, he is still one of The Bachelor’s kookiest characters, known mostly as the guy who tried to blend a whole avocado and will spontaneously break into dance at any given moment.
#20. Rachael
The Bachelor, Season 4
Sure, she’s a bit of a dork but Rachael is so painfully relatable. You gotta love her for it.
#19. Sam/Rhys
The Bachelorette, Season 2
Never forget the battle of the male models during Season 2 of The Bachelorette. IMHO, Sam and Rhys’ petty feuding made the whole damn series.
#18. Blake
The Bachelorette, Season 3
Every season needs a villain and Blake even dressed like a high school jock. I’ll never stop loling over Sophie Monk dumping him and him replying with a disgruntled ‘Ciao!’
#17. Jess
The Bachelor, Season 2
Cast your minds back to 2014: Jess was the original stage five clinger and never stopped getting on all the other girls’ nerves.
#16. James
The Bachelorette, Season 3
James has my whole heart. I just don’t get how he simultaneously looks like Bradley Cooper and a labrador.
#15. Elora
The Bachelor, Season 5
She came in fire-twirling and brought all kinds of fire to the show. Then there was the time she tried to kiss Matty J at the cocktail party in full view of the other women. I can’t help but stan.
#14. David (The International Model)
The Bachelorette, Season 1
David might have been our first Bachy villain and his bizarre speech, telling Sam Frost that she’s looking for a “baby daddy”, still baffles me to this day.
#13. Cassie
The Bachelor, Season 6
Whether Cassie had dated Nick Cummins or not dominated the 2018 season but she’ll be mostly remembered for being extremely sweet and pure.
#12. Alex
The Bachelor, Season 4
She might divide opinion but you can’t say Alex wasn’t memorable. Even if Richie incorrectly named her the winner, instead of the rightful victor Nikki.
#11. Heather
The Bachelor, Season 3
Speaking of memorable, Heather was a beacon of light on Season 3 and one of the biggest characters the series has ever seen.
#10. Brooke
The Bachelor, Season 6
If the world made sense, Brooke would have been named last year’s winner but alas Nick Cummins missed his chance. There’s no denying Brooke is a superstar.
#9. Vanessa Sunshine
The Bachelor, Season 6
As if I could exclude the baddest bitch this series has ever seen. Vanessa Sunshine’s give-no-fucks attitude was the highlight of last year’s season.
#8. Megan
The Bachelor, Season 4
Megan has brought so much to the entire Bachy universe but I personally remember her for dumping Richie at the rose ceremony. You got to respect the girl for knowing what she wants.
#7. Nikki
The Bachelor, Season 4
She had the whole nation behind her and our hearts also broke when Richie chose Alex instead of Nikki in the finale. She remains a Bachy hero.
#6. Florence
The Bachelor, Season 5
Florence is a boss. Throughout Matty J’s season and two seasons of Bachelor In Paradise, Florence proved she’s a force to be reckoned with.
#5. Apollo
The Bachelorette, Season 4
Apollo isn’t just a guy, he’s a living god. And he does magic. And… he has abs that look like they were sculpted by angels. There’s nothing he can’t do.
#4. Tara
The Bachelor, Season 5
From appreciating the male form to taking a sausage with her where ever she goes, Matty’s J’s season quickly became all about Tara.
#3. Laurina
The Bachelor, Season 2
It would be plain rude for me to exclude the Dirty Street Pie Queen. She was iconic then and she still is now.
#2. Jarrod
The Bachelorette, Season 3
Who would have thought that a pot plant could bring so many hours of entertainment? Jarrod, his plant and his infatuation with Sophie Monk overshadowed the entire season and it’s still utterly hilarious to this day.
#1. Keira
The Bachelor, Season 4
As if any other contestant could claim the number one spot but her majesty Keira: queen of all peasants. Every syllable she speaks is iconic. She is iconic in her sleep. ICONIC.
