Tonight’s episode of The Bachelor felt like running a marathon: it took forever to get to the end, I don’t remember what happened for most of the middle, and now all I want to do is lie down.

It was basically two episodes packed into one, with a solo date, a group date, and a mysterious Bach pad date with Steph (that wasn’t fully shown), before a dramatic cocktail party. Jimmy introduced his sister Tahnee and cousin Lisa to all of the girls, before pissing off with Lily for a date. This left Tahnee and Lisa to grill the women, which was facilitated by Osher allowing everyone to submit questions for the group. Of course, most of the questioned were levelled at Holly, as Tatum and Steph accused the frontrunner of acting differently when Jimmy and the cameras weren’t around.

Meanwhile, in a shocking twist no one could have seen coming, Jimmy took Lily on a beach date. Did you know Jimmy hailed from the Northern Beaches? And he rather enjoys a cheeky trip to the beach? Wild, I know. The date itself was inoffensive and uneventful, kind of like my current dating life. But unlike me, Jimmy and Lily spent most of their day dry-humping under the waves and probably impregnating sea creatures.

Jimmy rides up on his motorbike (suitably named Tiffany) inviting Lily on a date, then introduced his sister Tahnee and cousin Lisa. While Lily and Jimmy are away, the rest of the women are to be interrogated by Jimmy’s fam. You know, just some good, clean family fun.

Surprise surprise, Jimmy takes Lily to the Northern Beaches for a surfing lesson. They don’t spend long on the board before they start pashing nonstop.

Jimmy and Lily have a heart to heart, but Jimmy worries whether they have anything more than just physical chemistry. Lily then shared that she’s had issues opening up to people in the past and is rewarded with a rose.

Back at the mansion, Osher gets the women to write questions for the group and chaos ensues. Some questions are levelled at Steph, then Tatum announces to the table that Holly is different when Jimmy and the cameras aren’t around. Steph backs her up. As a wise woman once said: Game on, moles!

A few of the girls jump to Holly’s defence, but Tatum and Steph stood firm. Holly left the table in tears. Later on, Holly tried to defend herself to Jimmy’s sister in a one-on-one chat, but she didn’t seem sold. Steph slags off the other women to Jimmy’s cousin, saying that Brooke is codependent and Jay doesn’t want kids.

Tahnee and Lisa relayed their first impressions back to Jimmy, noting that Steph might not be that invested. In response, Steph is called over to the Bach pad to meet Jimmy, then we see…nothing else?!

At the cocktail party, just as Holly is shit-talking Steph, she walks back in. The girls ask what happened, but Steph refuses to share anything. Jimmy grabbed Holly for a chat and she shares her side of the story — and he somehow buys it.

After Sierah was shut down by Tahnee for approaching Jimmy for a chat, this somehow sets off Tatum. She steals Jimmy from Tahnee to tell him that she’s going home. Huh? The rest of the women are shook as she just yeets out of the mansion without saying goodbye.

At the rose ceremony, some person named Stevie was sent home. She seemed nice.
