Locky Has Chosen His Special Lady On ‘The Bachelor’ & No One’s Surprised (Except The Runner-Up)

Locky Gilbert has chosen his winner in tonight’s The Bachelor finale, picking nurse Irena Srbinovska over Instagram influencer Bella Varelis. I hope she likes Bali! A lot!

In a series first, on tonight’s finale Locky told BOTH women that he was falling in love with them. Well, more specifically he told Bella he was “falling in love” with her, while he said he had “fallen in love” with Irena. This detail proved to be pretty damn important, as Locky chose Irena in the end — leaving Bella heartbroken.

In classic Bachy fashion, producers tried to make it seem like Bella had won by having Irena get out of her limo first. A classic stitch-up. But alas, after doing this to us last year with Chelsie McCleod stepping out first only for Abbie Chatfield to get dumped, most fans didn’t trust these old finale tropes that we once expected.

Despite the confusion, Locky spilling his feelings to Irena was damn cute. Watch it go down below:

During their time on the show together, Locky and Irena both shared similiar visions for the future, while both enjoying the outdoors and activities like hiking (allegedly). On the final rose ceremony, Locky told Irena: “When I’m with you, I feel calm and comfortable,” he began.

“When I think about our future together, I’m so excited, I can’t wait to travel the world and make all your dreams come true. Irena, I’m so in love with you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Viewers weren’t overly surprised with Locky’s final choice:

However, considering Locky had earlier dropped the L-bomb with Bella, viewers were empathising with the poor girl being caught off guard.

Viewers felt for Bella, who was surprised with Locky’s decision after he had told her he was falling for her:

We wish Locky and Irena all the best and impatiently await confirmation over whether they lasted the distance.

See y’all same time, same place for The Bachelorette which premieres on 7 October at 7:30pm on Channel 10.
