It’s time to frock up and let your freak flag fly high because the Mardi Gras has rolled into The Bachelorette.

Tonight’s group date and cocktail party had the contestants all donning their boldest rainbow outfits in a heartwarming display of queer pride. We love to see it! Even the straight men got into the Mardi Gras spirit, which says a lot coming from a reality show that once saw a hetero man walk out because he was asked to dress up as a chicken. The bar is on the floor. I would have loved to have seen Warwick in sparkly platform boots and a pink wig tbh.

The group divided into two and were tasked with making floats, choosing costumes and choreographing dance routines for their competing parades. Holly took charge of her team and somehow managed to make Kurt look like he knew what he was doing… kinda. Brooke was impressed by Holly’s initiative, earning her a rose at the cocktail party that night.

Another contestant who copped a rose on tonight’s episode was intruder Millie, who got whisked away on a winter wonderland date with Brooke. They played in faux snow, made a snowman, and watched Grease — it was wholesome! Millie could be the dark horse no one saw coming.

Jamie-Lee was also in this episode! She tried to get Brooke’s attention during the Mardi Gras challenge but with no luck, then grabbed her before the rose ceremony to show Brooke a book she made with pictures of them in it. In any other environment, this would be beyond creepy but it seemed to win over Brooke, who had been feeling weird about Jamie-Lee since last week’s revelations that Ryan allegedly was crushing on her.

All is well again, which means that there’s still about five different frontrunners for Brooke’s heart. I can’t keep up! Let’s roll the tweets!

Tonight’s The Bachelorette recapped in hilarious tweets:

Jamie-Lee is still tense over the Ryan drama and wants another date, but Millie gets the solo time with Brooke. They visit a winter wonderland to build a snowman and paint errr… some big blue mountain on a wall. Cool!

Brooke and Millie get cosy together on the couch to watch Grease. They share what they’re looking for in relationships, and Millie gets a rose and a kiss.

The group date sees the gang ascend on the SCG for a Mardi Gras parade. They split into two teams to make a float, select costumes, and put together a dance routine. Holly and Jamie-Lee take charge of their teams.

The cocktail party is a Mardi Gras afterparty. Brooke pulls Holly aside to give her a rose for her efforts that day. Jamie-Lee is desperate to clear the air with Brooke, so she presents her with a storybook of their journey to win her back.

At the rose ceremony, Taje and Steve are sent packing.
