The Newest Trailer For ‘The Bachelors’ Is Here And I’m Confused

The first trailer for The Bachelors Season 11 debuted on The Masked Singer Australia finale, and I don’t know how to feel.

I’m not so sure about the success of this franchise, seeing as the first trio of Bachelors in Jed, Felix and Thomas was a bit of a flop. If Channel 10 had decided to follow the USA’s footsteps with the Golden Bachelor – with an age range of 60 to 75 – or blessed us with another Bachelorette, I can guarantee I’d be glued to my seat.

Instead, we have three men looking for love: Wesley Senna Cortes, Ben Waddell and Luke Bateman. The only facts about the trio you need to know are: Ben has beef with Zac Efron and Luke writes poetry… but if you’re deadset on scoping them out, take a gander here.

This year, the network’s decided to launch the series a few weeks before Christmas on December 3 (the show usually runs from July to September, except for Season 10 which aired in January 2023) which means we’re actually getting two Bachelors seasons in one year. Fun!

It’s possible they are trying to distance the show from MAFS, the show that has eclipsed the red rose romance show for a few years now. MAFS usually starts airing in January or February, so there’s often a bit of crossover. There’s also a fan theory that the next season of Survivor will be taking The Bachelors’ slot, instead of airing at the end of January.

The Bridgertonstyled trailer has a sweeping string quartet in the background and a posh narrator talking about how great the show is going to be. Apparently, this is going to be the “most romantic season” we’ve ever seen.

Each bachelor throws out a sappy, dramatic quote, before the promo teases some spicy drama. It looks like one of the potential girls has caught the eye of more than one bachelor. Godspeed.

The promo also teases “secrets and scandals”, before showing two of the bachelors hugging outside. I feel thoroughly confused, intrigued and duped, because I have to watch the show now.

Fans react to the new The Bachelors trailer.

Turns out that I’m not the only one who has been sucked back in, with fans sharing their thoughts on social media.

“My Christmas wish comes true! Will it be a trainwreck like last year?” one person wrote.

“Hmmm okay, maybe we’ll give it one more chance lmao,” another added.

“Ooo this might get me in again lol,” a third wrote.

“I’m excited. It looks like it is going back to the traditional just with three bachies,” another pointed out.

The Bachelors Season 11 begins on December 3, 2023 on Channel 10 and 10 Play.
