Get ready to set sail because Australia’s latest reality TV dating show, The Real Love Boat, has just dropped its trailer, and we’re excited to see what drama and romance it will bring.

The Real Love Boat, to put it quite simply, is the reality TV version of the rom-com show The Love Boat, which followed the hilarious love stories of passengers and crew of the Pacific Princess. And TBH, I’ve never really watched the original show, but would always hear references to it in other pop culture shows like South Park and Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit, mostly referencing its iconic opening sequence.

This new show will also feature some reality TV faves, including host Daren McMullen, Below Deck Mediterranean’s Hannah Ferrier, along with Daniel Doody and Paolo Arrigo. And you must watch the trailer because it is absolutely adorable and incredibly nostalgic for any The Love Boat fans out there.

The reality show is set to revolve around a bunch of hot singles who are looking for love whilst sailing on a cruise around the Mediterranean. Only one couple can make it to the final port, so we can assume there will be some form of competition aspect alongside the romance.

The Real Love Boat is expected to be taking the place of The Bachelorette, after executive vice president and chief content Officer, Paramount Australia and New Zealand, Beverley McGarvey, announced that the fan fave dating show would not air this year.

We have no date confirmed on when this will air, but judging by the trailer, it looks like a fun ride and low-key one of the most relaxing dating shows of them all. Also, I’m super keen to see Below Deck’s Hannah set sail in the Mediterranean once more.

The Real Love Boat is coming soon to 10 and 10 play.
