Toot toot! The Real Love Boat has finally docked on Australian TV, and let’s just say the tweets that have come out of the premiere had us in stitches!

In case you haven’t been keeping up, The Real Love Boat is Channel 10’s latest dating show. It follows a bunch of hot singles who are looking for love as they sail across the seas, docking in gorgeous countries including Spain, Turkey, Italy, Greece, France, and Montenegro. Think of it as Bachelor In Paradise but on a cruise.

The show is hosted by The Voice’s Darren McMullen, who is accompanied by Hannah Ferrier of Below Deck Mediterranean fameDaniel Doody from Studio 10, and Captain Paolo Arrigo, who will be guiding the ship.

And of course, there is a lot of drama to come. Its debut episode saw an elimination and partner-swap. Oop!

To give you a quick rundown of what happened aboard The Real Love Boat on episode one, we were introduced to six ladies and seven men in Barcelona. The first task was a simple speed dating game, but the twist was that one man would be left behind, as the woman got to choose who will step aboard The Real Love Boat.

Eventually, everyone chose their partner aka who they would like to board the ship with — leaving one guy (Ben) behind.

In the first episode, we also found out that Moana had previous relations with one of the men, Dan, and it seems like she gets a bit salty when Dan is picked by the manifesting queen, Naomi.

The pairs boarded the ship and eventually go off on their dates, with Hannah and Daniel watching from the sidelines. Aboard the ship, Moana spills the beans to Naomi that she had previously hooked up with Dan, which was a tense moment.

At the end of the episode, the power was switched over to the men, who got to pick who to partner up with.

OFC there are some couples who decided to stay together, but some others did a complete switch-a-roo. On the next episode, an intruder will be boarding the ship, which could throw a spanner into the works for some of the established couples.

We’ve had a lot of thoughts while watching the premiere episode, 20 to be exact, but we also found some funny tweets that had us giggling during the entire show, most of them about all the sunburnt singles.
