‘Corn Kid’ is the latest viral sensation to come out of the internet, and it’s definitely what we need after months of cursed news like the Will Smith and Chris Rock slap at the Oscars or the Splendour In The Mud fiasco.
To give you the TL;DR on how this meme came to be, it started with a YouTube channel titled ‘Recess Therapy’ that uploaded an interview with a kid named Tariq, who shared his love for corn. From Tariq’s adorable pronunciation of the word corn and his pure passion for the treat, viewers were immediately captivated by this interview from the start. Tariq’s answers were also incredibly entertaining and hilarious.
The interview then made its way to TikTok, when user @Schmoyoho remixed it into its own banger and the rest is history.

The #CornKid or #CornCeo has gone completely viral online, with #ItsCorn already having over 450 million views and the song by @Schmoyoho being used in over 234K videos.
Some TikTokers are using the sound to share what they love and display their personal relationship with corn, with one user using the song in a bungee workout.

Even without the funky beats and ad-libs, the interview itself is as golden as the corn he is holding. One of my favourite quotes to come out of the interview is when he was asked if everyone should like corn. “No, not everyone has to like it to be the best. Everyone just has to try it. Have a bite!” It’s just so adorable!
