Happy United States Presidential election day everyone! Are we excited?

Even though we live in Australia, it seems that the US Presidential election is inescapable today. And if you feel like you’ve been bombarded with content, have no fear, we’ve summarised it all for you. Well, the important bits.

Here’s who all the celebs are voting for in the United States Presidential election.

Lady Gaga – Voting for Joe Biden

Lady Gaga has always been open about her politics, so it’s a no-brainer that she would be voting for Joe Biden this election.

With the election coming to a close, Biden and Trump are wrapping up their rallies. For Biden, this means having a special guest appearance at his Pennsylvania rally (famously, a swing state) from Lady Gaga. Here, Lady Gaga publicly endorsed Biden, sang a few songs, and spoke about the importance of voting.

At this rally, Lady Gaga said: “This is your vote and guess what, we need all of you to vote. I know you’ve seen the polls – the record number of early and vote-in votes – it’s tempting to feel comfortable and confident and sit back. But, now is not a time to feel confident and sit back. Right now, it’s time for action.”

Kanye West – Voting for Kanye West

Yes, much to everyone’s surprise, Kanye West is still running for President. His name may not be on the ballot paper, but Kanye West is very much encouraging voters to buy his merchandise and manually write his name down. Even though Kanye West has a substantial fan base (for his music and fashion), it’s unlikely he’ll make a dent in this election. Although, as we’ve seen from 2016, it’s never a good idea to predict the outcome.

Taylor Swift – Voting for Joe Biden

While Taylor Swift has spent most of her career staying silent on politics, that’s all changed in the past few years. In terms of this election, the Folklore songstress spoke to V Magazine about why she’s endorsing Biden.

She said, “The change we need most is to elect a president who recognises that people of colour deserve to feel safe and represented, that women deserve the right to choose what happens to their bodies, and that the LGBTQIA+ community deserves to be acknowledged and included. Everyone deserves a government that takes global health risks seriously and puts the lives of its people first. The only way we can begin to make things better is to choose leaders who are willing to face these issues and find ways to work through them.”

Beyoncé – Voting for Joe Biden

Even though Texas has predominantly been a Republican state, there are signs that the red state could soon turn blue. One celebrity who is hoping for this change is Beyoncé, who encouraged her 155m followers to vote, wearing a face-mask that supported the Biden / Harris campaign.

Lil Wayne Voting for Donald Trump

Last week, Lil Wayne met up with Donald Trump and publicly endorsed him. In a tweet, Lil Wayne said “Just had a great meeting with (Trump), besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

This week, it would seem that Lil Wayne’s girlfriend has dumped him for his endorsement. As they say – what goes around, comes around.

Cardi B – Voting for Joe Biden

In two videos uploaded to Instagram, Cardi B vlogged to her 77 million followers, urging them to vote. She recommended bringing snacks, bringing entertainment, and wearing all black (to avoid harassment from opposing parties). Cardi said, “I’m tired of this bulls**t. I’m tired of getting upset every single time I hear this man talk,” before hashtagging #BIGBIDEN.

Lil Pump Voting for Donald Trump

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, Lil Pump (the guy behind ‘Gucci Gang’) has thrown his support behind Donald Trump. But, the funniest part about this endorsement is that Donald Trump clearly has no idea who he is, as he called him “Little Pimp” when introducing him at a rally. You can’t make this stuff up.

Lizzo – Voting for Joe Biden

For the past few weeks, Lizzo’s Instagram page has become a massive reminder for all Americans to vote (and vote early, if possible). She’s unleashed her alter ego, Auntie Sam, who twerks and poses in a patriotic drip.

In addition to this, she’s also penned a very powerful essay about why she’s voting, saying: “I believe in a country that listens to the cries of the protester and doesn’t politicise death.”

Camilla Cabello – Voting for Joe Biden

Like many of her celebrity counterparts, Camilla Cabello voted early in this election. But today, she’s reminded all of her followers who she voted for and why she got out there and did it. She said, “I voted for someone who is not in it for himself, but is in it for every one of us. Someone who doesn’t take pleasure in dividing us, but one who works hard to bring us together. That’s why I voted for (Joe Biden) and (Kamala Harris).”

Kid Rock – Voting for Donald Trump

You know when we have to mention Kid Rock in an article, we’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Kid Rock, who you may know from his one song in 2008 ‘All Summer Long,’ is randomly relevant today because of how much he backs Trump. From campaigning for him to attending his debate against Biden, Kid Rock is a stan. And as a result, we can not say the same for him.

What will happen next? Only time will tell!
