12 Times Jax Was The Absolute Worst On ‘Vanderpump Rules’

Another season of Vanderpump Rules is coming to an end, and while the cast has had a much-needed mixup this season and new relationships have formed, one thing remains the same: Jax Taylor is still the absolute worst.

This is obviously nothing new. Jax has always been the most divisive (aka hated) character on the show. But lately, he’s just become an asshole for the point of being an asshole.

Jax’s demeaning behaviour towards Charli on this year’s virtual reunion proved that maybe it’s time for him to leave the show for good. Unlike other reality TV villains, like The Hills’ Spencer Pratt or Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Scott Disick, Jax is becoming less and less fun to watch as the series continues.

There’s a fine balance when it comes to being a TV villain. You might want to hate them on a surface level, but there needs to still be something intensely watchable about them. For instance, James Kennedy as a villain works because while his actions are often reprehensible, he has rare moments of redemption.

As we reach the end of season eight, Jax’s worst moments by far outweigh his best, so we’re counting down all the times he was an awful person and ooft, there’s a lot.

12 times Jax was just the absolute worst on Vanderpump Rules:

#1. When he gaslit Stassi and lied about cheating on her

Season one was dominated by a rumour that not only did Jax cheat in his then-girlfriend Stassi in Vegas, but he got the girl he had sex with pregnant. When he was asked if it was true, Jax lied and tried to deflect the blame on to Stassi and the entire group believed him over her — even Stassi’s besties Katie and Kristen. The fact that Jax was able to lie over and over again to everyone’s faces was the first sign that the guy is a low-key psychopath.

#2. When he dumped Laura-Leigh outside her AA meeting

After Stassi dumped him, Jax quickly rebounded with fellow SUR staff member Laura-Leigh, who he memorably dumped just after she attended an alcoholics anonymous meeting. What a classy guy.

#3. When he didn’t apologise to Sandoval for sleeping with Kristen

Make no mistake, Jax has always been a shitty friend to Sandoval. When Jax and Kristen’s infidelity finally came to light, you’d think Jax would immediately apologise to his best friend but he didn’t seem phased. Sandoval practically had to try and drag remorse out of him, but Jax wouldn’t budge.

#4. When he cheated on Tiffany in the hotel suite she organised

This was the moment I realised that Jax had absolutely no respect for women. Tiffany, his girlfriend at the time, organised a fancy hotel suite for Jax and the boys to stay at in San Diego. How did he repay her? By cheating on her in the hotel room she gifted him. Absolute trash.

#5. When he said he should decide the size of Brittany’s breast implants

I’m still shook that Brittany didn’t dump Jax at this very moment. After offering to pay for Brittany’s breast implants, Jax later specified that he should be able to choose how big she should go. Excuse me, GTFO.

#6. When he stole a pair of sunglasses

While holidaying in Hawaii, Jax got drunk, walked into a Sunglass Hut and strolled out still holding a pair of expensive shades. He was later arrested, charged with a felony and his friends had to pay his $1,100 bail to get him out of jail, so they didn’t miss their flight home. You can watch the clumsy heist for yourself below, courtesy of tapes acquired by TMZ:

#7. When he told Sandoval he was the “number one guy in the group”

An iconic moment for the Vanderpump Rules history books. It came about for the weirdest of reasons after Sandoval tried to comfort Schwartz after he had a bad day. Jax was in a mood and suddenly exploded. “Dude, stop acting like you’re the number one fucking guy in this group, man. I’m the number one guy in the group,” he told Sandoval. There are no words.

#8. When he complained that Brittany didn’t make him sandwiches

There were several occasions when Jax tried to humiliate Brittany publicly, saying that she didn’t clean or contribute to their household. The most annoying criticism was all the times he said that she should just automatically make him sandwiches, like that’s what a girlfriend’s role should be. Get in the bin.

#9. When he spread a rumour about his own girlfriend

Season five kicked off with a fresh rumour about Brittany which was err… generated by Jax. While on a boys’ night, Jax told everyone that he had walked in on Brittany and Kristen hooking up. Brittany denied it and was clearly uncomfortable with what Jax was spreading but this didn’t stop him from running his mouth.

#10. When he cheated on Brittany with Faith

While at first he aggressively denied it (classic Jax), it eventually came out that Jax had cheated on Brittany with another SUR staffer, Faith. The most awkward part was that Faith recorded the encounter and Jax could be heard saying that he never wanted to get married or have kids with Brittany. This was played by the girls at a party, but Brittany still stayed with him and they eventually wed.

#11. When he invoked the #MeToo movement at the reunion

This bizarre comment came about on the season six reunion, while Lala was talking about what feminism meant to her. Out of nowhere, Jax interjected “Hashtag #MeToo!”, which made the rest of the cast cringe. He said that he “thought it [the hashtag] was for women power!”

Ummm, how does someone working in Hollywood not know what the #MeToo movement is about?! This is peak Jax. He wears his supposed ignorance like a shield while doing nothing to educate or better himself.

#12. When he told Lisa that Vanderpump Rules was his show

In the final episode of season eight, after Jax got into a fight with Sandoval, Lisa pulled him aside to give him a talking to. It was here that he let slip what we’ve all suspected all along: he thinks we’re watching The Jax Show.

“This is why my show is successful,” he actually told Lisa. She cut him off, snapping, “It’s actually not your show, it’s actually my show, OK? And, I put your ass on it, so don’t be fu*king disrespectful to me.” It was an absolute drag and we love to see it.

I wouldn’t be SURprised (lol) if Jax is demoted to being a busboy on the next season. Lord knows, he deserves it.
