From Academy Award winning documentarian Alex Gibney that brought us 2007’s thrilling Taxi to the Dark Side, this time Gibney turns his investigative eye to the world of state-sponsored cyber warfare. In 2010, IT experts discovered the Stuxnet virus, which disabled enrichment centrifuges at Iran’s Natanz nuclear plant. The program was traced to a joint US–Israeli intelligence operation code named Olympic Games, which led to state-backed Iranian hackers retaliated by infecting the Bank of America with an equally devastating piece of malware. This resulted in corrupted systems all over the world, and in a few keystrokes, a Pandora’s box of cyber warfare was opened.
