Everything We Know About Abbie And Konrad’s Split And Those Megan Rumours
Reality TV star Abbie Chatfield has recently confirmed that she and Konrad Bien-Stephen are donezo, and there’s a lot of speculation about what led up to the breaking point of their relationship.
But before we get into what we know so far about Abbie and Konrad’s relationship fizzle, I’ll give you a quick little catch-up on their relationship. Call it a cheat sheet, if you will.
Abbie Chatfield was introduced to The Bachelor franchise in Season 7 and made a brief cameo in Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette to help her with her decision-making. But before Brooke’s finale, Abbie was spotted in public with Bachelorette front-runner Konrad Bien-Stephen, nearly spoiling the end of Brooke’s season.
Brooke called out Abbie, labelling her actions as a form of “narcissism” and “white privilege.” Abbie apologised for her actions and continued to date Konrad after Brooke’s run on The Bachelorette. A few months later, Abbie and Konrad dropped a relationship bombshell on the It’s A Lot podcast, stating that their relationship was open, with Abbie saying,“I’ve never ever valued monogamy… My kink is wanting him to f*ck other people.”

Unfortunately, since then, their relationship seemed to fizzle and rumours swirled of a reality TV split. Recently, Abbie confirmed that they’re no longer together and they’ve actually been done for a couple of months.
Despite neither party confirming what led to the breakup, there have been many rumours floating around about what might’ve happened between the couple, with the name of another former Bachy contestant being thrown into the mix.
So buckle up and hold onto your seats because we’re about to unpack everything we know about Abbie and Konrad’s relationship break up.
The Challenge, Megan Marx, and hook ups
Rumours of a breakdown in Abbie and Konrad’s relationship first started swirling when an insider told The Daily Mail that Konrad said him and Abbie were over while he was filming on The Challenge. “Konrad said he was single and his relationship with Abbie was over because she broke up with him.”
The insider also said that Konrad hooked up with fellow Bachy star Megan Marx during the filming of the reality TV show. They also suggested that this hook up was a tactic to make Konrad’s ex, Brooke Blurton (who is also on The Challenge) jealous.“It was awkward because he was all over her the second we started filming. It was like he was trying to make Brooke jealous because she was there too,” the source said.
Abbie later took to her Instagram story to respond, saying that she won’t be confirming or denying anything until Konrad returns to Australia. “He’s out of the country so I won’t be commenting on anything until he’s home,” her story read. “Can everyone not be so dramatic and relax. Both of us are totally okay.”
The friendzone
Another insider then came forward doubling down on Konrad and Abbie’s break up, alleging that Konrad said that Abbie had ghosted him before he flew out to Buenos Aires, Argentina for The Challenge. “(Abbie) sort of just friend-zoned him before he was due to start filming,” the source told The Daily Mail.
The source also said that Abbie didn’t have time for Konrad due to her blossoming career, with her latest gig being a judge on The Masked Singer alongside Mel B, Chrissie Swan, and Dave Hughes, as well as hosting her own radio show and podcast, and clothing line. “He doesn’t know where he stands with Abbie. She was telling him she wants to focus on her career, and doesn’t have time to spend with him.”

The confirmation
Abbie took to Insta to announce that she and Konrad have been broken up for a couple months, saying that no one did “anything bad or awful.”
She also made it a point in that their open relationship status did not contribute to their relationship break down. “It happened a couple of months ago, but yeah, nothing bad happened. Please don’t write articles [saying we split] because we were in an open relationship. It wasn’t.”

The Bachelor star has since come out on her podcast to talk about about some risqué business and her freshly single status. “So I’m like fully single, I’m fully mingling. Feeling very single and slutty,” Abbie said on her It’s A Lot poddy.

Megan Marx’s ex weighs in on the speculation
Keith Newman, Megan Marx’s ex, had finally come forward to respond to the allegations of Konrad and Megan’s reality TV hook up. He wanted to set the record straight about Megan’s reputation and told So Dramatic! “Megan and I broke up a few months ago… She’s not a cheater, this dialogue has got to stop. It’s not nice for me or her.”
Keith also said, “We’ve still been spending time together as we do love each other and are best mates despite everything,” and that he hopes they will rekindle their love once again. “I’m hoping we can get back together sooner than later.”
Despite Keith wanting to get back with the Bachy star, the pair have deleted each other off their Insta feeds and no longer follow each other on the ‘gram.
Konrad and Megan have not yet responded to the hook up allegations or their recent breakup news, so I guess we’ll have to see what The Challenge will bring us when it finally airs.
