Harrison Boon’s Ex Has Finally Spoken Out And Good For Her
This year’s undisputed Married at First Sight villain Harrison Boon started doing the media rounds last month before the show came to an end, in a bid to defend himself from the haters that he accumulated as the season aired.
From the Kyle & Jackie O show to former MAFS alum Dom and Ella’s Sit With Us podcast, Harrison has been sharing his version of the events that went down during the experiment, his marriage with Bronte, and even at times, getting emotional talking about his son and his past relationship crumbling due to his ex allegedly cheating on him.
When questioned by Ella on the Sit With Us podcast whether his ex would dispute his claims that he cheated, he admitted she’d have her own version of events and up until recently, things were quiet and his ex was nowhere to be seen in the media cycle.
However, Harrison’s ex Sophie has decided to come out and talk to the So Dramatic! podcast after Harrison’s tell-all interview with Dom and Ella, to clear her own name and share her side of what went down during their relationship.

She didn’t cheat on Harrison:
Sophie explained that she left Harrison and went home to her family in Forbes with their child after things started to go awry in their relationship.
She explains being out in Forbes and hit up by a guy she used to go to high school with. While calling the chat “playful”, Sophie then detailed how Harrison somehow went onto her Instagram via his own laptop (not hers, like he stated in the Sit With Us podcast), “I don’t know if he had my password or maybe I was logged in,” Sophie said.
“It was two weeks after we broke up, he had read those messages that were going on between me and this guy, and then I get the screenshot back to me of Harry saying ‘I can’t believe you left me for this guy, you’ve been cheating on me’ and I was like, ‘are you serious?! You don’t have the receipts, it doesn’t add up!’ To this day, I haven’t even met up with this guy who Harrison said I was cheating with.”
The real reason why Harrison and Sophie broke up:
“I had a builder come to our door demanding money. He said ‘is Harry home?’ and he said he had been trying to contact him and he’s not answering his phone. He said he was working on a job, and he ruined the job, and he wanted the last pay that was paid to him to fix the stuff-ups.”
Prior to this experience, Sophie had been harbouring concerns but put them to the side as she focused on raising their son, August.
“I had some concerns – he [Harrison] wasn’t getting along with my family members and there were little bumps in the road. And this was the tipping point with this builder, I called my mum and I was just crying to her, and she said ‘look, just come back to Forbes, we’ll look after you’ so I packed my things up and Harry ended up coming back before I left.
“I just said to him, I need to think, I need to go home, I don’t think I’m in love with you anymore. It had been building up for a while,” Sophie said.
On their son’s custody arrangements:
According to Sophie, the custody arrangements were handed down by Harrison’s solicitor and she wasn’t in a position to fight back because she didn’t want to go through the court system. “I have made it very easy for him,” Sophie said. “I drive to Sydney once a month and Harry comes to Forbes once a month, so he sees him every second weekend. It’s a lot on August,” Sophie said of the travel time for their son.
Sophie also alleged that Harrison called the police for a welfare check three times since they broke up, one time demanding Sophie wake up a sleeping August who was sick with a virus. “He said if you don’t wake him up, I’m going to call the police,” Sophie said.
She didn’t know Harrison introduced their son to Bronte.
Sophie found out Harrison had introduced their son to Bronte after watching MAFS herself. Yikes!

Throughout the interview, Sophie also details other behaviour from Harrison including throwing her stuff out when she left him (including their son’s birth certificate), Harrison threatening legal action on her brother-in-law, and plenty more.
She also adamantly denied Harrison was ever physically abusive and said she never felt scared in his presence and that she truly does believe he went on MAFS to find love and was always a loyal partner. “I think deep down he wants more kids and to settle down,” Sophie said. “But he’s going the wrong way about it.”
