The ‘Selling Sunset’ And ‘Made In Chelsea’ Dating Crossover I Didn’t See Coming
Reality TV cross-pollination is the only pollination I care about. And I have a beautiful one for you all today.
Two of my favourite shows, Selling Sunset (because I love looking in rich people’s houses and hearing them gossip about each other) and Made In Chelsea (because I love looking in rich people’s houses and hearing them gossip about each other) finally have a sexual crossover.
To get you up to speed, chief office lad, Jason Oppenheim, has had a string of girlfriends and hookups that you may recognise. Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, Chrishell Stause and Nicole Young have all had romantic dalliances with Jason. And yes, these are all women that work for him at the Oppenheim group.

He was most recently with Mary-Lou, who appeared on Selling Sunset but wasn’t an employee of the Oppenheim group (as far as I know). These two split up a little while back and while I was personally excited for a period of reflection for darling Jason, it seems he refuses to stay single and now has a rumoured new girlfriend.
And that new girlfriend has a Made In Chelsea connection that I wasn’t expecting.
Jason regrammed an Instagram Story this week by @geniebouchard of his and her foot in matching shoes in the backseat of a car. Now I know this doesn’t scream ‘hard launch’ of a relationship, but would you share a photo of matching brogues in the back of a car with Jason Oppenheim if you weren’t banging?! I think not.

The gal behind the gram is Eugénie Bouchard who is a Canadian tennis player. At the 2014 Wimbledon Championships, she became the first Canadian-born player to reach the final of a major singles tournament – so she’s pretty damn good at what she does. But I’m going to be very unfeminist now and admit that’s not the part about her I find most interesting.
You see, Eugénie Bouchard is the sister of Mimi Bouchard and Mimi was on Made In Chelsea – and quite the stand-out character on the show. Mimi rocked up on the show as a wild Canadian export who was living in the very posh borough of Chelsea and caused a kerfuffle. She was close with Georgia ‘Toff’ Tofolo and Jess Woodley and had a brief love triangle with Fredrik Ferrier and Olivia Bentley, but her main storyline on the show was one for the ages.

Mimi managed to really piss off Made In Chelsea royalty, Tiffany Watson, when she slept with her boyfriend, Sam Thompson, while the couple were on a break. When Tiff found out about the shag she majorly lashed out and called Mimi a dumpling. It was big news guys, trust me.
Anyway, Eugénie is Mimi’s big sister!

And now she’s maybe, perhaps dating Jason Oppenheim and I’m already dreaming of the cameo appearance of the Bouchard sisters on Selling Sunset. Please let this happen, Netflix overlords. I promise I’ll stop scabbing off my in-law’s account if you do.
