Cheating, Bad Behaviour And ‘Nudes’: All The Allegations Now Being Made Against Joe Jonas
In case you had your eyes glued shut for the last fortnight, I have news for you: Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are getting divorced.
Now, before you get emotional about it and start mourning the cute celebrity relationship that was… I have more news. And it’s not so fun. You see, since rumours began circulating about the pair separating, a few allegations have come to light. Many of those allegations were hurled at Sophie Turner, suggesting she was an unfit mother who was spending too much time working away from her kids and leaning into partying a little too hard. (How you can be working too much and partying too hard, I don’t know, but you can read more about that mayhem over here.)
While the internet very much came to Sophie’s defence over those allegations, the pendulum has now swung hard in the other direction and people are pointing all of their fingers directly at Joe Jonas.

And while some of these criticisms are hooked off the divorce, a few are completely unrelated – accusing Joe of dodgy behaviour from years before his marriage. Here’s everything I could gather on the topic so you can be fully across it all.
What did Joe Jonas do?
A Zoey 101 star claims Joe Jonas asked her for ‘nudes’.
Alexa Nikolas, who you may recognise as Nicola from Nikelodeon’s Zoey 101, took to Twitter (or X, whatever the heck we’re calling it these days) to drop a rather large bombshell.
She claims she met Joe Jonas when they were both teenagers and while it was during the time he was actively wearing a purity ring, he allegedly asked her for nudes.

In case you just read ‘purity ring’ and were like ‘mi scusi’, these are little blingy accessories often adorned by teenage Christians that show that they are actively saving themselves for marriage. While that usually just means saving sex until marriage, you’d be fair to assume that if sexual encounters were off the table, nudes were probably not church-endorsed methods of communication.
After being pressed in the comment section of her tweet, Alexis followed up with the reason why she decided to share this allegation now – when Joe Jonas is very much in the headlines.
“My commentary is about the portrayal of males in media vs the reality. I’ve spent most of my teen years being asked by boys and grown men for nudes without much care for humanity. The patriarchy has hypernormalised males intrusive objectification,” the actor wrote.
“I have been asked for more nudes as a girl and woman than about my passions or my opinions. This is not a poor me story this [is] a reality of misogyny and I feel it is important to comment on.”
Alexa has not updated her X account since posting this thread, but she has reshared her original X post about Joe on her Instagram Story. Joe Jonas hasn’t responded in any way across any platform.
A source tells TMZ that Joe wasn’t the most supportive partner.
Obviously when news like this breaks, a bunch of ‘sources’ (often unverified ones) come forward to share their two cents. While most are unpublished, TMZ has covered a few reports of Joe’s behaviour during his marriage to Sophie.
Here’s the tea.
According to sources speaking to TMZ, they claim that Joe was “less than supportive” after the birth of their second child. They say that Sophie didn’t want to go to events or be photographed. Despite this, she was seen with Joe at several events.
And that we can see very easily through a speedy Getty image search that this is at least a little bit true. He was doing a number of shows with his brothers, on the red carpet with Variety, movie premieres and Paris Fashion Week. The latter he did attend with Sophie, but there are even more reports whispered to TMZ that she actively didn’t want to be there and Joe was complaining about her.
“It was clear to the people who were there and heard Joe… there was a strain in the relationship,” the source claimed.
Did Joe Jonas cheat on Sophie Turner?
I think it’s important to acknowledge that even celeb couples who appear monogamous may have a private dealio at play which gives them some non-monogamous freedoms, BUT for the sake of taking people at face value, let’s assume that Sophie and Joe were an exclusive pair.
Back in 2022, there was an iconic episode of Beyond The Blinds, which is a gossip podcast that unpacks the ‘blind items’ that are submitted to sites like TMZ or Deuxmoi. Obviously, this is kinda very salacious, but there’s a rule of thumb with blind items that if there are any more than three of a similar vibe, it’s *probably* true.

Once known as quite the Insta-couple, Joe Jonas seems to have deleted the majority of the loved-up posts about Sophie from his feed.
Now, this is a pretty stock-standard response from us normies when we go through a breakup, but it seems like a pointed move when a celebrity in the public eye does it. Particularly after they’ve released a joint statement about their amicable divorce with their now-ex-wife.

Joe Jonas allegedly tried to break up with Sophie Turner a number of times.
In a very thorough TikTok investigation, one creator, Kyle Marisa Roth, claimed that Joe tried to break things off with Sophie Turner a number of times.
“Every time he tried to break up with her, she would get emotional and he would back down,” Kyle shared. “I think this is why he used to break up with people by text.”
For those who that reference just washed over, it’s referring to Joe’s infamous breakup with Taylor Swift. Taylor outed the “27-second phone call” that ended their relationship live on Ellen, in a clip that lives rent-free in my mind.
What does Gigi Hadid have to do with anything?
Look, she doesn’t have anything to do with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce, but among the media coverage of the celebrity split, an old headline is resurfacing that may highlight some of Joe’s less-favourable behaviour.
In 2015, Teen Vogue ran an article titled ‘13-Year-Old Gigi Hadid Rejected Every Girl’s Disney Crush Joe Jonas’ which is a bit of a weird headline in of itself, but it gets particularly gross once you release that at the time of this alleged rejection, Joe was 19.
Yep, that’s a 19-year-old hitting on a 13-year-old. Aka a legal adult hitting on a child.

Gigi spoke of the meeting during a Periscope stream, where she said: “We met at the Grammys when I was 13 years old and he asked me to a baseball game, and I said no.”
“I was so nervous; I literally didn’t even know what it meant to hang out with a boy. And also, Grammys are on a Sunday, and I didn’t want to tell him that I had school the next day, so I was like, ‘No, maybe next time’.”
Gigi then claimed that Joe wrote his number down and gave it to her mum, Yolanda Hadid. Apparently, this marked the start of their friendship before they began *actually* dating in 2015 – when Gigi was 20 years old and Joe was 26.
Look, there’s A LOT going on right now with this story so I’ll try to keep you up to date if more shit unfolds with the Joe-Jonas-Sophie-Turner saga, but right now I need a large cup of tea and a power nap to process all these allegations.
