A ‘KUWTK’ Producer Has Spilt The Tea On Behind-The-Scenes Secrets
There’s no denying that Keeping Up With The Kardashians changed the reality TV game and after a mammoth 20 seasons, the show is wrapping up this year.
The reality series has been giving us an inside look at the famous Kardashian clan since 2007 and has catapulted the family to an insane level of international fame. It was announced late last year that Season 20 would be the last.
“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the family said in a joint statement. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and several spin-off shows, we’ve decided as a family to end this very special journey. We are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years — through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way.”
With the final season wrapping up soon, producer Farnaz Farjam answered some questions about what to expect from the final episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and spilt some tea on the famous siblings.
Here’s everything Keeping Up With The Kardashians producer Farnaz Farjam had to say about the iconic show wrapping up.
On whether they all ever imagined the longevity of the series:
“By season eight, me and Kim used to joke that we wanted to see Season 20 – and we did!”
On insights into the final few eps of the season:
“We obviously do a lot of episodes that are nostalgic because the show is coming to an end. And I think the family and the crew were feeling it a lot. We do a final family trip – we ended up only going to Lake Tahoe because of the pandemic. There’s a lot of great memories, there’s a small peek into Kim entering into a new chapter in her life; we celebrate a lot of people’s birthdays – we were filming at the time that Kris Jenner, Kendall, Kim and Caitlyn all have a birthday around the same window of time. I think Scott has probably had the hardest time with the show coming to an end, and we get to witness that. There’s a lot to still unpack!”
On the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion finale hosted by Andy Cohen:
“The very last episode shows the family closing this chapter in their lives. They each pick a moment that was special to them and they tell us why, and then the final curtain drops.”
On the most memorable moment to film in KUWTK history:
“One of my most memorable moments was Kris Jenner’s lip moment. She didn’t want to film because she had a swollen lip, but she understood that we were on a family vacation and that’s what was happening to her and she kind of just needed to roll with it, and she did. I mean there’s so many episodes I love.”
On the craziest/most fun scene to film:
“The season just after Kim had gotten a divorce, and we wanted her to have fun again. So, she did all those things where she would wear all the crazy wigs and just be playful and super lighthearted.”
On which Kardashian loves being in front of the camera the most:
“I would probably say Kim.”
On which Kardashian likes being in front of the camera the least:
“I would say Kylie likes to film the least, but she’s actually way more present in the final season – probably because it was Season 20 and it was coming to an end. If you think about the last few family trips that we did, Kylie was missing – but she came for this one, and she was definitely way more present this season.”
On who the most unpredictable of the Kardashian clan is:
“They’re all unpredictable. You never know all the twists and turns that’s going to happen in their lives. I feel like Khloe’s been through a lot; Kourtney worked through a lot of her emotions on Season 19 through to Season 20. In Season 20 she came in with a fresh new attitude, she was super positive and just wanted to live her best life, which was nice in comparison to what she was going through in Season 19. She came out with a great attitude. I would say that everybody brought it in Season 20 and everybody brought a lot of love with it.”
On the most thoughtful family member:
“I would say Kim always gets the most thoughtful presents for her family. Khloe is always the most thoughtful when it comes to the crew. Khloe does really nice things for the crew. One of our film producers, after filming in South Africa, had to go to hospital and he got hit with a $15k medical bill, and he was stressing out, and Khloe just wrote him a cheque.”
