Leah From ‘The Bachelor’ Has Made A Wild Claim About Thomas And Shares The Reason They Split
The Bachelors pulled out all the stops this year to keep us entertained, with not one, not two, but THREE leading men ready to fall in love. Romance wasn’t written in the stars, with Thomas Malucelli, Felix Von Hofe and Jed McIntosh all ditching their beaus shortly after the show aired.
Out of the three, we had the highest hopes for Thomas and his then-fiancée Leah Cummings. The couple seemed to connect from the very start, with the Bachelor declaring his love during the finale. Sadly, their relationship only lasted around two months after filming wrapped, leaving us wondering what went down.
The Bachelor‘s Leah Cummings claims Thomas Malucelli ‘Didn’t believe in modern medicine’
In a truly wild interview, Leah has now shared the reason behind her split with the silver fox. According to the Bachy winner, Thomas “doesn’t believe in modern medicine”.
“Now that my rose-coloured glasses are off…when we went on our first date [after filming wrapped], he told me he wasn’t vaccinated,” she told The Advertiser. She claimed that he asked her “not [to] get the fourth vaccination”, something she considered while she was blinded by love.
“I was willing to risk my health to be with him,” she said.
With what we know about Thomas and his involvement with Isagenix, a multi-level marketing scheme, this kinda tracks. The couple’s relationship hit another stumbling block when it came to medication Leah was taking for asthma and anxiety. According to Leah, he encouraged her to stop taking her medication.
“He said, ‘I think you have asthma because you believe you have asthma’,” she claimed. The publication also reported that Leah believed she was only able to use her asthma inhaler in “private”, so that Thomas wouldn’t see her using it.
Leah also recalled a terrifying moment when she had an asthma attack but claimed she was too scared to ask Thomas for support or help.
“I remember being on the phone to my sister, who was in Bali, and she said, ‘Go get Thomas, go get Thomas, and I was like, ‘I can’t’. I didn’t have the guts to tell her.”
Even with all these red flags Leah mentioned, though, it was actually Thomas who ended their engagement. “He was the one who broke up with me which is also disappointing. I can’t believe I allowed that to happen,” she admitted.
Thomas calls Leah’s claims ‘disappointing’
Thomas responded to The Advertiser’s request for comment, and said he only has “love” for the Bachelorettes.
“It’s so disappointing that a relationship founded on The Bachelor, which was such an enjoyable experience and growth period, would now be dragged through the mud,” he said.
“I have the utmost respect for the contestants from the show and the collective journey we have been on. I have only love for the Bachelorettes.”
