Leonardo DiCaprio is once again rumoured to be swanning around town with another 25-year-old woman

Sadly, the fact that 49-year-old Leonardo is supposedly hooking up with model Lottie Moss – who is basically half his age – isn’t the worst part about this whole situation. You see, there’s been a massive rumour about his history with her older sister, Kate Moss… five years before Lottie was born.

Kate and Leo were spotted together in New York in 1993, when they were both 19. The photo went the 90s-equivalent of going viral and absolutely everyone was convinced they were dating.

So seeing Leo and Lottie hanging out is giving us a weird type of deja-vu. It’s also giving Vanessa Hudgens’ ex Austin Butler jumping into an age-gap relationship with Kaia Gerber, who previously met the High School Musical star when she was 5 and Vanessa was 18.

The potential new couple were seen partying at London hotspot Chiltern Firehouse recently. A source told The Daily Mail that Lottie and Leo left together in the early hours of the morning.

“You’ve got Leonardo and Lottie in the same room, of course they gravitated towards one another,” the insider said. “They were chatting and giggling until the small hours when it was time to call it a night. They left the club in the early hours after having a whale of a time.”

“It got people talking. They are both celebrities who enjoy a good time.”

Another onlooker spilled some details to The Sun, saying that the pair seemed “really close”. “Their closeness raised a lot of eyebrows – and people in the club were talking about Kate, as well as the fact Lottie seems in the right age bracket for Leo.”

Why does Leonardo DiCaprio only date women aged 25 and younger?

It’s becoming a twisted joke that Leo will dump women as soon as they turn 26, with graphs documenting this phenomenon floating around on social media.

He hasn’t spoken out about his sus behaviour, but psychologist Emma Kenny told The Sun that there could be a good reason for the big age gaps.

“Leonardo DiCaprio is good-looking, wealthy, talented and well-loved by his close friends… his inability to commit long-term may be seen by some as a flaw within his nature, but it is more likely a preference that he has developed due to his understanding of the fickle world of Hollywood, where relationships rarely stand the test of time,” she explained.

The psychologist went on to say that Leo’s parents divorced when he was young, which could influence the way he sees long-term relationships. Plus, he’s able to “pick and choose” who he wants to pursue, until he gets bored, or notices that his significant other is looking for something more “secure”.

“The ages of the women he dates, and the point at which their relationships end seems to coincide with these life markers,” she added.

I’m still not totally on board with these age-gap relationships due to the power imbalance… but I guess that kinda makes sense. Either way, it’s probably best to steer clear of your ex’s little sister.
