They were considered one of the strongest Love Island Australia couples this year, but less than a month since the finale, Chris Graudins and Zoe Clish have split.

Chris came in as an intruder on the third season. He coupled up with Rachael Evren, before eventually recoupling with Zoe after she entered the villa. The finalists confirmed their split via their respective Instagram accounts and on the offical Love Island page.

The break up will come as a shock to fans, as the couple seemed like an ideal match — Chris’ quirky personality complimented Zoe’s bubbly demeanour and they ended up placing runner-up in the finale.

Zoe posted her own Instagram about the split:

Zoe cited her own personal issues as one of the reasons they couldn’t make their relationship work beyond the Love Island experience. “I have realised that I’m not as ready as I thought I was for a relationship. I didn’t realise until being in a healthy loving relationship, that I really do have some past issues that have stuck with me,” she wrote.

“Chris has done nothing but support me and give me all the love in the world, and I’m so thankful and appreciative of him.”

Interestingly, Chris’ post was liked by Rachael who was coupled up with Chris before she was booted from the villa. Chris quickly moved on from Rachael, coupling up with bombshell Zoe, and they had been going from strength to strength… until now.

Since Chris and Zoe have called it quits, this means that the only remaining couple from the season are winners Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd. Only days after the finale, Jess Velkovski and Aaron Waters, along with Courtney Stubbs and Noah Hura, all confirmed they had split.

Tina and Mitch are currently quarantining together after Mitch contracted COVID — so let’s pray they don’t break up any time soon, or things could get awkward.
