Which ‘Love Island’ Couples Are Still Together? Let’s Investigate!

After another sensational Love Island season (minus the Casa Amor exclusion, how dare!), tonight the winning couple will be crowned.

This season has been like no other with plenty of famous bombshells dropping in, from former contestants Tina Provis and Mitch Hibberd to a familiar face in MAFS groom Al Perkins. The reality show also sent one of the contestant’s exes into the villa in some real chaotic energy.

With the chaos came the cute stuff and watching some of these relationships blossom over the last few weeks has been super wholesome. And no couple was cuter than Austen Bugeja and Claudia Bonifazio: the hottest couple to ever tear through the villa. I’m firmly on Team Clausten ahead of the finale but until then, who do we reckon is still together?

Unlike other seasons which aired live, this year’s cast have been back home in Australia since the series was pre-recorded which means some couples have since crumbled under the weight of the real world.

But never fear, we’ve done some investigating to figure out which couples are (probably) still together:

Phoebe and Mitch

Surprise, surprise! The villa’s most tumultuous couple somehow went the distance. TikToker Grace Palmer uploaded a video of Phoebe and Mitch cuddling on the couch which she captioned “last night in hiding,” and umm, they ain’t hiding too well!

It’s safe to say that these two are probably still going strong.

Jess and Al

Status: Not together

The villa’s most sexual couple have confirmed that they’ve since parted ways. “Right now, at the moment, me and Jess are just friends,” Al told 9Entertainment. “But we speak almost every second day.” Al confirmed the couple tried to make their relationship translate outside the villa but with no luck. “After we left the villa, we continued for a little bit and I met her mum, but… then we just thought we’d be better off as friends.”

Jess echoed Al’s sentiments. “We’re still the same, we’re still seeing where everything is going. We talk a lot, we see each other quite often so we’re still good,” she said.

Madeline and Callum

Tbh, I’ve found nothing on this couple and whether they’re still together. But as a couple heading into the finale who have been together the shortest amount of time, signs don’t look super positive that they’ve gone the distance.

It won’t help matters that the contestants also live in different states with Callum in Brisbane while Madeline lives in Melbourne. That’s a yikes from me.

Tina and Mitch

Status: Not together

Mitch and Tina won the series in 2021 before returning to Love Island this year as bombshells during Ex Week. While they broke up at the start of this year, they ended up reconciling while back in the villa. However, their romantic spark eventually fizzled out… again.

“We’re not seeing each other anymore,” Tina told New Idea. “I think Mitch and I have always been in each other’s lives and still remained friends. There’s no bad blood between us or anything at all. So I think in that sense, you know, never say never but for this time, I think the chapter’s definitely closed.”

Claudia and Austen

Status: Still together

Thank God we have some happy news! As reported by So Dramatic! Claudia’s sister Bianca has shared multiple Instagram Stories which appear to show that Claudia and Austen are very much still together.

Throughout the season, Claudia and Austen have remained the firm favourites to win so at least it appears like they’ve gone the distance.

Maybe Love Island has finally created a long-lasting relationship after a slew of breakups over the years? If any couple have the staying power to beat the Love Island curse, our money is on Claudsten.

The Love Island grand finale kicks off tonight on 9Go and 9Now.
