Janelle From ‘MAFS’ Has Opened Up About Her Relo With Jesse
Janelle Han is one of the most memorable Married at First Sight contestants from this year, with the biggest scandal happening when her then-partner Adam Seed(y) kissed Jesse Burford’s partner Claire Nomarhas during a night out.
The usually bubbly beauty influencer found herself reduced to tears on national TV when she found out about Adam’s behaviour, and ended up leaving the experiment without finding love.
Earlier this year, Janelle sent fans crazy (us included) after she had a lil fling with Jesse. So, could we see Janelle and Jesse emerge from the post-MAFS haze as our new power couple? Although a girl can dream, it seems that their chapter has been well and truly closed.
During a chat with Punkee, she told us that Jesse is firmly in the friend zone, and she’s actually dating a mystery man in Sydney.
“Me and Jesse got really, really close when we both left the experiment, we would catch up in Perth. I just got to know him a lot, and there’s so many layers to that man that was not shown on TV I think… he is super emotionally intelligent,” she tells us.
“He is someone who thinks about things to a deeper level that takes years for someone to realise, he’s really introspective and he is fucking hilarious.”
The pair “trauma bonded” over the events from MAFS, so their bond was the strongest while the fallout from Claire and Adam’s kiss was airing on TV. Janelle adds that they sought each other out for emotional support, as it felt like they were “reliving” the drama all over again.
Who is Janelle Han’s new boyfriend?
After seeing the MAFS producers waste Janelle’s time by pairing her with a walking red flag, we’ve been rooting for her to find love and happiness. While it’s early days, we’re stoked that she’s found a nice guy.
They’ve been on a few dates, and she was spotted heading to Broadway to watch a movie with him. So how does she handle the media attention that comes with appearing on one of Australia’s biggest reality TV shows?
“I don’t think anyone [should] care [who I date]… who cares?” she laughs. “It’s more that I want to protect the other person’s privacy.”
“It’s definitely weird dating post-MAFS, especially when there is a little bit of attention on you,” she admits. “The guy that I am talking to at the moment, recognised me from MAFS… I get really embarrassed by it.”
Keep your eyes peeled folks, we’re on the lookout for a soft launch.
