In a dream world, if Married at First Sight hadn’t introduced new couples to us this week, we’d maybe be looking at the last few episodes of the show.

But there’s no point fantasising what could’ve been – while we’ve watched all the other couples undergo the honeymoons, the dreaded honesty box, dinner party mayhem, and things like ~intimacy~ week, we’ve got three new couples to get acquainted to as they all undertake a similar journey.

So while last night we met Georgia and Liam, and Kerry and Johnny, tonight we had one more wedding to go to: that of Jaimie and Chris. This is the kind of couple you watch the experts match together with so many ample justifications that you know it’s doomed before it even truly begins.

While Chris’s opening package looked like we were meeting our new, sensitive, Bachelor, we were forewarned Jaimie has previously gone for emotionally unavailable men, and well, she doesn’t seem to like men with tattoos too. Can’t relate. Anyway, spoiler: Chris has a lot.

While things looked like they may work out by the end of the wedding, Chris and Jaimie’s honeymoon ended on a rough note, while our other two couples navigated the small bombs that were dropped their way (ahem, like the honesty box) with ease.

Here’s tonight’s final wedding & honeymoons retold by funny tweets:

Everyone chats about the aftermath of the two weddings, including where Jo and James are at, and we learn Booka isn’t thrilled with Brett.

We meet Chris, a gentle giant FIFO worker who’s a devoted dad. He’s struggled with dyslexia growing up but loves that his little girls love reading novels. Most of Australia is now, understandably, in love with him.

He’s matched with Jaimie, someone who says she’s gone for the wrong types of men in the past. The experts say that Jaimie needs to be open about meeting a new type of guy, and that’s what we call foreshadowing!

Chris is super nervous at the wedding. Jaimie’s friends and Jaimie herself confirm that they all don’t like Chris’s hair.

Jaimie’s man-maids hint that she needs someone more “manicured”. Chris gives a speech about being raised by strong women and wanting to give everything in their marriage. Meanwhile, every single woman in Australia gets a bit hornier for Chris.

Kerry and Johnny hit a roadblock over a candelit dinner when she says her ex messaged her to check in.

In the ‘News We Don’t Care About, Get A Divorce Already’ segment, Jo and James meet up for coffee to work their terrible relationship out.

Liam and Georgia get given the honesty box and reveal to each other how many sexual partners they’ve had. They later consummate their marriage.

Johnny and Kerry get back into lovey-dovey land after she organises a surprise picnic for them.

Jaimie and Chris get their turn at the honesty box and Jaimie has a go at Chris about the way he pronounces “ask” and whether or not he washed his hands after going to the bathroom. Very normal behaviour.

Chris eventually sits Jaimie down to tell her he feels that she’s been disrespectful to him. She said she is who she is, but will try to be more mindful.
