Loathe him or just hate him, one Married at First Sight contestant who has dominated the season so far is Bryce Ruthven.

Between treating his wife Melissa Rawson like trash, to starting petty drama with Sam Carraro, Bryce has not won over many fans. And the latest news about the controversial groom won’t do him any favours, as 2020 MAFS contestant Connie Crayden has leaked some sleazy texts he sent her while he was engaged.

These texts are beyond creepy, showing a man pursuing a woman who clearly isn’t interested. In the texts published by Woman’s Day, Bryce asks Connie, “Kiss on a first date kind of person?” to which she replied, “Depends how well the date goes I guess.” He then pushes his point, messaging, “Did it cross your mind Saturday night?” and she shut him down immediately, sending back “No it didn’t actually”.

You’d hope that at this point most men would get the hint to stop their advances, but Bryce keeps going. “I kinda got a vibe maybe it had crossed yours..way off,” and Connie writes back, “Wait what,” and then sends “Yeah, way off dude.”

Just a hint fellas, this is not a woman who is remotely interested in you.

Later in the conversation, it seems like Bryce has finally remembered that he has a fiancé because he sends, “Not to sound rude to you..you know I think you’re attractive. I just wouldn’t have disrespected Lana.” Ugh. This is coming from the guy who just asked Connie if she wanted to kiss him?! Super respectful. Connie wrote back, “Yeah I know [you] wouldn’t have done that and I sure as hell know I wouldn’t have either so again, a conversation we don’t need to be having”.

At this stage, the gaslighting and manipulation begins. Bryce writes back, “Very blunt about it.” OK? Why can’t Connie express her position without being tone-policed?! Connie writes back, “Your pushing boundaries again Bryce. Do you not see that?”.

It’s all just super alarming. In another text exchange, Bryce asked Connie if she’s talking to other guys, then says, “I’ll selfishly say I hope you don’t come across another guy.” Once again, Connie shuts him down, writing back, “Mate, you’re engaged. Can’t have the best of both worlds”.

This whole texting saga comes after Bryce was questioned about a rumour that he slept with Connie on a Hit 104.7 radio show, to which he replied, “Ugh, Connie. Does she look like my type of girl?”. Connie later told The Wash that due to his “hyper-sexualising” comments, she had to “block him on all forms of social media”.
