Dan And Evelyn From ‘MAFS’ Just Got Into A Super Awkward On-Air Radio Feud
It’s another day ending in Y, which means it’s another day of full-blown drama on-and-off air for this year’s cast of Married at First Sight.
As we all know by now, Dastardly Dan got caught TF out by Evelyn last night and she didn’t miss when holding him accountable about the things he said about wife, Sandy, on a boys’ night out.
TL;DR: Rupert accidentally butt-dialled Evelyn when the boys were talking smack. Did the butt dial really happen? Who’s to say, but we’ve broken that down over here.
Now, moving on, Evelyn appeared on the Kyle & Jackie O Show to talk about all the chaos of last night’s dinner party, and she dropped some piping hot tea about Dan having THREE girlfriends while filming, before the man himself Zoomed in to take part in the interview.
It was chaotic AF!
Here’s what we learned from Evelyn and Dan’s interview on the Kyle & Jackie O Show:
Evelyn on going into the dinner party with all guns blazing:
“I think Dan is good with his words and I knew I had some work to do to get the truth out. He’s denying the semantics of it, but I think there were worse things that were said that he’s not going to admit.”
On other things Dan has said that didn’t make it onto our TV screens:
“It was admitted during the experiment, but it was messed up it couldn’t be aired. I can’t say! I’d say it’s to do with someone’s ethnicity and I’ll leave it at that.”
On whether the butt dial really happened:
“The boys were on a drunken night out, I had three calls throughout the night, I could hear Hugo speaking about his wife saying he wanted any other wife other than his — in hindsight, fair enough — and Dan’s saying he doesn’t need this [the experiment].
“It was a diss, it goes to show his insecurities, like, what are you doing hanging around at the bar and showing girls you used to smash in the past. Loser!”
On Dan’s alleged three girlfriends he had while filming the show:
“After the commitment ceremony you’ll see on Sunday, Dan pulled me aside and he said ‘you know what Evelyn… you’ve really held a mirror up to my face. I’m really going to think about my life decisions.’
Then he’s gone out and set up a bunch of paparazzi shots with his girlfriend that he was having during the show. He had three girlfriends during the show! A real piece of shit.”
Then, to make things extra chaotic, Dan popped up on a Zoom call and denied dating anyone while on the show.
“Absolutely not,” Dan said about having three girlfriends. “It was actually five, not three,” he then tried to joke. “These stories are just ridiculous and getting out of hand. I was 100% faithful during the experiment, Sandy is a beautiful woman, there is no doubt about that.”
Dan then tried to blame Evelyn for misconstruing the information she was given:
“There are absolutely some things that I have said, I am happy to own and admit those things but the butt dial did not happen. The way Evelyn describes it and blew it up out of proportion…”
Evelyn then told Dan he’s just mad he got sprung:
“I think you’re mad that you got caught out and you thought you were going to come across as this gentlemen and now Australia hates you,” Evelyn said. Get him, sis!
Dan then said he and Sandy were deliberately mismatched and that Sandy wanted to set up a secret arrangement to stay together:
“The things I spoke about to the boys were also the things I spoke to Sandy about,” Dan said. “We were deliberately mismatched on this, there’s no doubt about it.”
Dan then tries to explain things further by saying Sandy at some stage sent him a message saying, ‘Dan you told me you could never fall in love with me, I feel hurt, I feel rejected’ but then wanted to set up a secret arrangement to get through to the end.
Just to top it off, Kyle asked Dan if he’d ever consider having sex with Evelyn…
Dan stammered over Evelyn being an attractive girl and started to say “if he was single” before it became inaudible. Praise the Lord.
God, this interview was a hot mess.
